1. Any interest in a Part Ex for a Mint Vanderkley 212 with padded cover?
2. No not yet! I wanted to see if there were any UK based options. Guess I will email them! Thanks for your response!
3. No one?
4. I'm interested in the 2U. PM sent.
5. My Aguilar Filter Twin seems to have died, or more specifically, the threshold knob has gone on the fritz. The pedal still passes sound, but the threshold knob has no effect. Theres a slught 'thump' sound when the threshold is turned all the way up. Don't know how it's happened as it was working fine just a few days ago! Anyone know where I can send it? Cheers
6. Chingford, NE. Bit late now though as I go back to work on the ship tomorrow!
7. I knew this would happen! Spent ages waiting for one which never appeared, so I buy a Vanderkley 212, and lo and behold, a couple of weeks after this comes up. Just my luck! Oh well. My loss is somebody elses gain! GLWTS pal.
8. BBQ King The Eat-alls (works for the Beatles or the Eagles!) No-greens Day Level 42 Stone Size of Atlanta Rhythm Section Bonbon Jovi Boldplay Heffer Leppard The Mooby Brothers
9. South Woodford!! I'm in Chingford! PM me with your mobile number. Cheers
10. John's a top guy to deal with, and these pedals are excellent, so win/win here guys
11. I've got a few transcriptions I've been looking for something to do with (mostly Steely Dan, couple assorted tracks) gimme a shout if you'd be interested in using some! Great job on videos too!
12. Some good advice in this thread. I bought an Apogee Duet 2 and have to say the thing is fantastic! A fair bit more expensive than your budget allows though. Having said that I haven't used any of the other units mentioned here so maybe I've overpaid
13. Whereabouts in North East London mate?
14. f*** me this is a bargain! I've already got one and I'm still tempted, just because it's less than I paid for mine! Good luck with the sale pal. That's a hell of a lot of Amp for the money, whoever picks this up is getting an absolute steal!
15. I liked both the Darkglass pedals best, which is lucky because I own both! If I didn't I'd be in a world of pain! Haha. And yes, your dry tone is awesome!
16. I really cannot understand why this is still here. If I had the cash this would have been sold ages ago.
17. Here we are then!
18. Shell Pink with dark Tortoiseshell guard is nice!
19. The GigRig Generator will power everything you have with the right adaptors, which they sell seperately.
20. I generally use setting 1, 3 or 4 depending on whether im using my jazz with rounds or my p with flats. But bypassing the EQ is still possible as the pure clean sound that comes out is amazing! If your bass is active, then tweak from the onboard preamp!
21. WANT WANT WANT! But I don't play guitar either so...
22.
With a grand to spend there's only one thing I'd do with it - Aguilar DB750...
Was heading into this thread to literally say this word for word. So seeing as it's already been said... I'll just add a +1
23.
I've been using the Avalon for over a year now, first with a Crown XTi power amp, then a Crest CA9, through a Barefaced Super Twin. The first thing to say is, yes, you can feed the power amp and the DI at the same time. Like you say, use the line level for the power amp and the mic level for the DI and it works a treat. i first heard the Avalon when doing some recording, and thought that's the tone I want live. I love this setup - simple, clean and oozing quality. The Crown amp was good, but the Crest is amazing. On the Avalon, I tend to bypass the EQ presets and it sounds so clear and musical. Enjoy!
Lovely looking (and I bet sounding!) rig there mate. Can I ask how you transport the Avalon? I have the rack ears kit and was wondering wether to rack mount it with the Chevin or seperately so I can take it on it's own for recording and what not!
