Danny Thompson
Phil Lesh
Mark Andes
Dave Pegg
I'd go with that list plus
Dee Murray
P.S. Bonus point for spelling Jack's name correctly, but Ashley's surname is Hutchings 😀

Fairport Convention - Si tu dois partir
The percussion was basically Martin Lamble running drumsticks over a stack of chairs. At about the 1:57 mark, the percussion solo was supposed to feature an empty glass bottle on the top chair, but it fell off and smashed on the ground.

Tom Lehrer always managed to rhyme with a certain amount of style.
"I say a bygone should be a bygone
Let's make peace the way we did in Stanleyville and Saigon"
And he's got a few more examples in this one.

The rhyming of "Te Deum" with "ICBM" is a particularly wonderful work of genius.

You’re not alone, well up to a point, I’m aware of the title and The Killers (I’ve heard the tune previously, somewhere or other, now that I’ve listened to the YT link). However, if you asked me to hum it, I wouldn’t know where to start without being reminded of it.
Our cave looks rather splendid IMO. 😁
I only know it because my daughter did it for her Rock School Grade 5 bass exam.

Thank you both for your help! I'll try those out, the notepad option sounds like a good idea as it doesn't require much editing.
I wonder if Musescore is worth looking into also, as it's free.
Musescore is pretty good albeit with a pretty steep learning curve

Could it not be said that the bassist is still playing at 120bpm throughout the verse, but just playing no notes?
But is he (not) playing them in the right order? 🙂

I can think of a fantastic track called 'Jolene' but unfortunately it's not a Dolly cover.
Not the Janis Ian song by any chance?

I've yet to come across a song about a hedge fund manager or chartered accountant. Maybe someone should come up with songs about white collar workers.
Here's one along those lines
