I recall Chappells in Bond St had a good bass selection, I bought a Yamaha BB from there about 20 years ago. Now long gone (both shop and BB).
I still have a Tokai VSB80 PJ that I bought from Chappells back in the early '80s and a suede own brand strap I got at the same time.
I think they were absorbed by Yamaha who now have a showroom in Wardour Street.

The beatles- "hey, chewed"
Hay chewed is, in fact, a track on Elton John’s first album

How much does it weigh?

Given the date on the photo, I'm astonished that this hasn't been snapped up before.

I'm also interested. I contacted Laurence last month but haven't been able to get a date for a setup.

Looks like Danny's now extending his internet presence

I hope the media play more than Silver Lining, his playing was progressive and dangerous right to the end.
Today program on Radio 4 played out to Beck's Bolero

Not sure if this qualifies as recent as it's 8 years old, but it sums up the current situation perfectly

I'll put in a good word for Hipshot. Needed some longer intonation screws for a bridge and emailed them enquiring as to availability/cost. They sent me a free set by return free of charge.

No mention of Jane Munro of the Au Pairs?

Ray Jackson of Lindisfarne was paid a flat 15 quid for his work on the session during which he wrote the mandolin hook for Maggie May.

They would be more like Apple if...you couldn't tune a Fender to any other make of instrument.

I've contacted Fender to suggest they call it the "Irony" series
Does that mean that they're good for metal?

Not sure it qualifies as a cover, but Lindisfarne's reimagining of 'Fog on the Tyne' with Paul Gascoigne surely rates as a crime against humanity.

I'll second bass_dinger's rec for the Southern Ukulele Store. Very helpful.

Otherwise, visit Hobgoblin, or https://www.southernukulelestore.co.uk/ or if you are in East London Duke of Uke.
Sadly, Duke of Uke have currently closed shop.
