Nice!
how do you find the neck of the duff deluxe, vs the jazz bass special?
I have the duff jazz bass special but read that the neck is thicker on the duff deluxe

I only need to go down half a step, but my action is quite low and buzzy as it is so worry physically tuning down half step will just make it worse

OK, I'm not going to lie, the drop tune function wasn't great.
My active basses and me hitting quite hard might not help, but it seems too laggy to be of any use to me.This is the only chink in the armour I have found so far...
Thanks for letting me know. The rest of the pedal does look & sound great from all the videos I’ve seen

I absolutely love it!
What is the drop tune effect like?

Can anyone who has one of these comment on the quality of the drop tune effect?
I need to get something to drop me down half a step and am looking between the Digitech drop or maybe ME90b

Just switch to the Boss WL20, that’s what I did and it’s just as good. One end in your bass and the other in the input of your pedal board.
The only difference I noted was having to charge both the dongles from a USB plug before a gig rather than just one.

I found one on sale locally and picked it up first thing this morning.
Had about 20 minutes messing with it and it seems to be very nice.
Much more accessible than my GT1B and the UI on my Katana 210.
Does anybody want to buy a BOSS GT1B? I can't see me needing it anymore.
I’m after one of these, so will be interested to hear your thoughts in it.
what’s the pitch shifting like, does it go down in half steps?

Was thinking of upgrading to the LT from the stomp but now that's £1000! I think it was around £700 a few weeks ago
They can’t be selling many of anything with these increases.
am tempted by the new Boss Me90b instead which is a lot less

Does anyone know what's going on with Line 6's prices, in particular the HX products?
They seem to have shot up in price over the last few days. I have been thinking of getting either a HX One or HX Stomp XL and as such have been monitoring the prices recently. The HX One has increased (at the usual online retailers) from £249 to £299 & £329 and the HX Stomp XL from £599 to £799, which is a 1/3rd increase in price!
I appreciate cost of living & inflation etc, but these are huge increases. Am currently kicking myself for my indecision as a couple of weeks ago Guitar Guitar had the HX One for £229 and Stomp XL for £549 in their spring sale.

Can I ask how much you paid there? All the usual shops have them for £120 but out of stock, and I was wondering what the Roland/Boss shop price was

If you look at my avatar, you will see my Fender Aerodyne. It is one of the first ones made in 2003. I love this bass. it just looks beautiful. I have often thought about buying the P version. It is in the image below alongside another bass that I sold.
I love the clean lines, no pickguard, just the front mounted jack socket and three knobs. I have made two mods, the machine heads wree changed for Goton Res-o-LItes and the pickuos were changed to a pair of Di Marzios. I am not so keen on the later models, especially the ones with the Jazz type metal control plate.
So browsing on G4M as you do, I found this:
Apart from the colour of the fingerboard, I love the look. Is it worth a £150 punt?
I used to have that Aerodyne Jazz but sold it, I always have regretted selling it

I managed to get a last minute ticket to see Dragonforce, and am currently waiting at Camden Roundhouse for them to come on.
have seen them several times before and they always put on a good show

An individual selling a second hand item would not charge VAT on it.
A business doesn’t have to register for VAT until it turns over £85k a year, so this seems an odd requirement from Reverb.

If you have experience of re-enlisting a former bandmate, please feel free to share.
Has it worked for you?
Do previous problems recur?
If someone quit without warning would you trust them again?
Ta!
If they quit without warning and left you in a mess, I wouldn’t trust them again.
Our ex drummer just did this to us, but said he would be available for any emergency cover - no thanks!

Kids … house … job
Are there any other local jam nights that you can try instead?? Maybe a different group of musicians would give you a different experience?
I worked in Coalville for years, you've got Loughborough & Leicester within easy reach.
Don't let a bad experience knock your confidence 👍

I find this all time, especially for songs I learnt when I first started playing, and learnt from cassettes through rubbish stereos.
Now I have a pair of decent headphones and digital music etc, things are always jumping out at me that I never knew where there

What helped my confidence at the local jam night was to learn a couple of the songs that the house band played the week before, and then played those whilst the house bass player took a break the next week. Then we’d did a couple that I knew, and the house band also knew
the thought of jamming on stuff I have never heard, or following charts etc fills me with dred!

I wonder how many times he has used the "do you mind if I hold my weiner on my lap" line!

I didn't get it. The other auditionee was better than me🙁 Or rather I wasn't good enough. I've never played soul and Motown before and was a bit nervous.
Never mind...back to Joinmyband!
Nevermind, at least you got to learn some new songs and play with some different people, which is never a bad thing.
Good luck finding something else.
I’ve put (another!) ad on join my band, and will try and get to one of the local jam nights next week in a bid to find something

Has anyone here played gigs with miserable/depressing songs on the playlist

A low point for me in an old band was having to play Hurt by Johnny Cash which is about as depressing as it gets!
Definitely not suited to a pub rock cover band!
