  1. Over the past 9 years I've used about 1 oz of the 4oz bottle of drDucks ax wax. It is going to last my lifetime. I get that homebrewing can be fun, but half a liter will supply a music school and all their students for a generation.

Well thx for all the Answears so far!

Would the hartke tx300 amp 4 ohm do well with two eden ex 210 8ohm? that would be like 150 watts from the amp into each cab as far i know. the edens are capabale of 300 watts rms handling.

i would like to try that setup but its just no available in my region. its also 900 euros in total (each product 300 euro new). havent found anything on the used market.

    the aim is a 410 configuration through 2 210s.

Are you stepping away from the Hartke 5500? When I'm looking at second hand 210s (mainland Europe area) there seem to be plenty of different Eden's available and they pair great for a punchy, solid and clear sound with Hartke amps.

    What region are you in?

    26th Feb- Ordered.

    27th Feb- Received.

    29th Feb- Dispatched for return.

1st Mar- Bax received the return. Didn't acknowledge it.

(Various emails and phone calls ensue)

12th Mar- Email to confirm that I'm entitled to a refund.

So a 14 day complete turnaround from mainland Europe to your doorstep and back, full refund confirmed after they have checked the returned item, and you go full Karen?

    Spoiled much?

If you go for a newer 18v 5-string check how close the G is to the fingerboard edge. And you can’t loosen the bolts and yank the neck!

Don't pull down on the string when fretting it.

It's a playing technique flaw. If you can't remedy your finger placement it can be mitigated by replacing the nut with one that has the slot filed slightly more away from the edge. As mentioned earlier.

  5. Determine what Stingray you want.  One or two pickups, 2 or 3 band eq, four or five string?

What are you going to use it for? Who plays a Stingray you like?

A US Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray will be made in San Luis Obispo and it will say so. All of these will hit the same ballpark sound wise thanks to the humbucker in its classic position.

Refinement comes from having alnico or ceramic pole pieces and the 2 or 3 band preamp.

Sterling By Musicman, SUB or OLP are different instruments with different electronics and places of fabrication. These are outside of your scope if you want a 'real' ray.

Stingrays are not as massively modded as fenders, mostly it's about replacing the nut if you can't cope with the G being a little closer to the edge of the fretboard.

    So, whaddayawant?

I think I prefer the G&L bass bridge design.

Arguably,  it'd be too wide as a 6 string unit.

I like the way it's set into a rout in the body, plus the ability to lock the saddles with a lateral grub screw.

If you end up with odd saddle positions to achieve intonation,  the MM bridge posts might not make the right contact with them.

Since they lack the recessed tracks for the height adjustment screws that some bridges have (Fender, for example), the saddles are free to skate around willy-nilly. My OLP 5 lacked the bridge posts,  and every time I plucked a string,  most of the energy was used in disturbing the saddles rather than making the string vibrate.

The posts really are not there to prevent lateral movement. The downward force from the string tension is plenty to keep the saddle in place, your old may have had different issues.

The intonation will often put the saddle in front or behind the mounting screw and is allowed to move freely if it could. But they won't.

You understand that a computer generated image should be less flawed instead more flawed right? Because you can fix any visual issues with a mouse pointer yeah?

So that would make it worse, the opposite of an excuse for things to look a bit wonky.

That figured top is poorly chosen and looks messy without showing great definition in the grain. That's why it looks like polished particle board. Which you seem to think is the same as MDF? That certainly validates your standpoint.... 🤡

I can't make out the one starting with a V under D.R.U.G.S. (column 1), the one above Fugitive in column 2, (it seems to start with an L so presumably that's Lorna Shore), the one under Judas Priest and the one under architects in column 4, and I'm not sure if there's a short word before Nino in column 3.

Veil of Maya, Lorna Shore (as above), Staind...

It would help if the image wasn't so compressed.

I was thinking of logos today, when I saw this .
I honestly can't make out the names of some of these bands . I saw a flyer in the London Astoria going back a few years promoting a death metal gig . Death may well have been on the bill, but really the standard is poor . I'm sure your logo will be much better ..

Lorna Shore is the only illegible logo there, and that's mainly because it's a nonsensical name.

Anyone interested in going to that festival will be familiar with that kind of typography and have little trouble deciphering who's who.

Much more difficult to read are these logos:
