  1. So quickly changed things a bit now have two switches for the individual pickups to go between series and parallel humbuckers, the pickups are both wired from the switches into the single volume pot so I’m gonna go with the are in parallel………. it sounds killer also I lowered the will power into the body more. I swear the pickguard doesn’t look this bad in person but I don’t really care
  2. a looper doesnt know whats going into it, im guessing thats what you mean by is is good for bass. the ditto is great however there are much cheaper versions i have a landlord fx looper which is £49 which is a noticable chunk of saving over the ditto or boss.
  3. im def grabbing one of these! sounds killer
  4. its basically two humbucker wired in the same way as a jazz bass looking for options for recording, i have both pickups on full all the time atm and like that sound so i dont need dual volume pots for blending, bypassing the tone is for fun. also atm its all done with electrical wago connectors so also not ideal! Andy
  5. so I’m thinking of going with this just combined two circuits? Parallel series neck and bridge no split coils, and a tone bypass? im gonna put in a 0.03uf cap aswell any advice is welcome tho
  6. Love the sy200 set up I’ve got going atm going straight to foh, do also have a fuzzrocious BDPG after it adding a bit more grit but adds another level to the sound big fuzz sounds sound even bigger when there’s a synth under them aswell!!
  7. 🙄 tone control in the circuit boys my tone comes from many fuzz pedals
  8. It’s a really rough wiring job at the min basically in the jazz setup, I think these be best in parallel I’ll probs leave it both in parallel but want options for recording tbh
  9. Tbh I always have gone at max so guess I could just put a cap in the circuit somewhere rather than a pot
  10. ground and pound from lusithand is back aswell as the idiotbox blackout fuzz gnp into the blackout sounds so good!! Basically rat into dual big Muff you can’t go wrong can you!
  11. Ok yeh I hadn’t thought about that tbh however I’m guessing actually combo would be both pickups series both pickups parallel neck split and bridge series Neck and bridge split series
  12. indeed it’s a aluminium neck from baguley
  13. Ive got a very heavy modded jazz bass! Its lovely but the pickup wiring was only ever temp but im not sure how to go about the wiring i want? the pickups are an avedissian t bird in the bridge and dimarzio will power in the neck, however these can both be split which i want to put on switches however wiring wise id love to put in a series parallel switch aswell. Any wiring gurus out there able to help?
  14. I had a friend who has the hx effects it’s really not that hard to program, also 100% worth learning to use the menus in the unit just incase you need to live
  15. minor tweaks spite box back and my modded muff on the board
  16. tone bypass is very easy to do, just have to be a little brave. pre tone mod, don’t hate on the wiring it works lol
  17. so i bought a second NYC with a view to modding, i got a hint from a fellow bassist i know from instagram and decided on the Diode mod called Supa Tonebender which is removing the diodes D1 and D2. really happy with sound lets a bit more bass in and the circuit. Next was a bit mad tho! i had a spare Damnation Audio Blooper (Bypass looper) and it was missing a knob and not selling so hey i thought why not! so its now hardwired inside and the jacks on the Muff are the in/out from the DA sounds killer and tonight im actually gonna add a tone bypass
