2.
I bought the Pro on pure looks alone but I have really gotten into it. I also have an Ibanez SRX300 and a Squire CV 60's P Bass and neither are getting a look in now that I have had the strap button moved. Its dead easy to play and it just looks the business on stage or just sat at home, couldn't be more happy with it!
did you move it to behind the body where the neck joins?

  3.
There is a huge difference between the Epi and the real deal, however the Epi is still cool
would have loved a gibby but just can't afford it! as im looking into amps atm!

    awesome

yeh we recorded it in our practice room, recorded them all in 2 days, there a bit rough but there working demos.

hoping to record in a studio soon! to bring them up to a much better quality

  5.
Sounds like some of the NWOBHM demos i've got stashed.......
really is that good or bad?

and if it needs moving can a mod please help me out?

  6. played my lm2 at practice thru my 610 ampeg and it sounded awesome really pushed some air, and with a pedal sounded awesome!

good news as thats my distorted rig that im gonna use! (well not with the 610 but with 2 210 cabs) but im looking at a proper backup for my svt pro 6 so does this grit a little not looking for much?

as the lows would be plenty! if they are anything like the lm2?

anyone got one? or an alternative of the same size?

tbh if its really nice sounding and fits the band, it may become my new number 1.
Yes and no - bascally sticking a camera in your rehearsal room and hoping to get a decent recording is likely to result in the sound level being way too high for the camera's built in mic - it'd be fine if you were playing a gig and the camera-person is standing at a safe distance from the PA etc - but having filmed a lot of bands myself in the past the sound can really vary depending on how loud the gig is. Reheasal room (in general) can be very boxy and speaking from experience, bands often rehearse too loud or louder than they need to - don't worry I've been guilty of this in the past. If you want to get decent quality audio to go with your video my suggestion is to record it seperately - either straight out of the mixing desk or through a mic into a laptop / digital recorder - if you try the latter make sure you test the levels and check the audio isn't distorting. If this sounds like a pain in the arse to set up all I'll add is that it's worth the extra effort, and the more familiar you become with the whole process the quicker you'll be at setting it up. There's nothing worse than playing your ass off and everyone is sounding great and then discovering the recording is unusable afterwards... one last suggestion is it might be an idea to ask someone to film you as fixed point camera shots can be restrictive and a bit dull.

On the camera front - something like this would be perfect

    Hope that helps

yeh i'd be looking at getting a separate mic to put some where in the room, only looking for some little short videos of practice. for live i would just like you say come either of the desk or from back of room mic.

and yeh for live we'd get ppl to record us

  8. hoping this is in the right place?!

im looking into getting a camera to record my band, and also to record little video clips as we record or are writing new stuff to put up on our myspace and our our site and youtube channel.

anybody know a good place to start? as there are about 5 million of them on the market?.

not even got a budget atm but would ideally not like to spend a stupid amount on one.

  9.
I've owned a couple (white and sunburst) and played a few - they are amazing value for what you pay for. The neckdive didn't bother me but as Jean Luc Pickguard says, an easy fix. I would always recommend one to anyone curious over trying one.
thanks man!

i think im gonna have to try one!

im liking the look of the gothic all black one! i'd be using it in a few live songs and would possilbly change a pickup or both on it. but love the look! and ive also heard the neck dive thing is fixable so im not to bothered by it.

im thinking the pro maybe the way to go, but i do like bolt on necks! so may try out the norm epi bird first, the 5ers any good?

also can you fit a ba bridge on a bird?

    andy

  10. just got my distortion amp!

    let the backlash begin! lol

i tried it out thru a 8x6 ampeg cab the sound of the lm2 effected worked really well with the svt pro 6 that i set up and played along with it, and for 399 i couldnt say no! the cab im saving up for know hopefully will still be there in a few months!

the cab in the pic is the micro vr 210 cab! got it for 270 and am planning on getting the head to match down the line but can use this with the lm2 for practicing atm.

  11. hi guys im doing some recordings on the weekend and im gonna try using our drummers trace elliot v4 to put some distortion thru, but its come around so quickly that im struggling to find a way to split my signal.

the more i think bout it the lehle splitter box i tried was broke as there was a significant drop in volume when both channels were on, so wnt be getting that.

anyone know anything i can pickup asap? also is it ok to run a head with no cab?

Run your bass into the crossover, and send the low pass to the mixer, and the hi pas to your efx. Mix and adjust crossover point to desired balance between bottom and fuzz, send mixed signal to your SVT. o need to buy another cab if the cab you use is loud enough and goes low enough for you.
wont the signal be distorted tho?

ie wnt have one clean and on dirty?

  13.
Ok could some just clarify a few thing for me then, at the minute im going to buy either a 410 HE or 410HF on their own would both of these work fine on their own and im planning on on adding 115 would all of these work together as the 115 and 410HE are 8ohm ahd tye 410HF is a 4 ohm
well you'll need another 4 ohm cab to use the 410hlf, also by the looks of it meaning you'll only get 600w at 2 ohms as you can't bridge it?, the he be fine at 8 ohms but i dnt think you could bridge the pro 4? as it would might damage it?

  14.
Mind you, this looks interesting:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fulltone-Ultimate-Oc...#ht_1832wt_1167
that does look interesting!

went to try out a few bits today, the whammy is a def no, sounded cool but probs something ill get at a later date for mucking about with.

the 210 fender combo, was tbh, a bit of a let down! sounded nice for clean bass but the effects just didnt seem to work! i know before i get slated that they will for some but they didnt for me!

so im back to square 1, gonna try and think of another way maybe even getting a guitar amp up there.

    andy

  15. well thought i'd let ppl know not that you really will care lol.

decided to go back to a four piece once we find the right guy.

sounds cool as a three but tbh there are solos and rhythm parts that we want to do live that we just cant with 1 guitar, and infact were going more the other way! as im looking at the moment into getting a separate cab and amp to run all my effects thru! ie big time fuzz and dis, plus some flanger and of course my wah!

so it may end up sounding like there 3 guitars! lol
