1. Yeah it's an upright, recorded just using the K+K Bass Max..Glad you appreciate it man!
2. This tune just started out as a bassline I recorded over christmas, then my brother just sent me this tune which has been built around it. Let us know what you think... http://soundcloud.com/louis-duarte/last-crusade Thanks guys and gals
3. I like very much. The bass sounds sick...
4. Sounds like a beautiful bass. If you can trade it for a double pickup version ...do it!
5. Yeah sick playing man! Great tune.
6. heheh cheers guys. No album as of yet but we've recorded loads of songs, just waiting to compile an album I suppose!
7. Thanks guys! Yeah it's an original ...we'll be uploading more soon!

9. Thanks man! Check out the new recording at the top if ya can.
10. Thanks man! More is on the way...
11. That's exactly what our plan is ...to take this to the stage, live. We need to think through exactly what we need in the lineup - but we should have something sorted soon. Thanks for the feedback!
12. That will work, but you will only hear it from one headphone and there will be terrible latency and distortion/volume issues. Not really an option if you ask me
13. We are remixing this ....I'll put it back up soon!
14. This is exactly what I'm after...
15. Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated. The beats were programmed simply by sampling some borrowed (from Tom Waits) and some recorded drum sounds and sequencing them one by one in the protools 'timeline'. The double bass was my awful cheap bass mic'd and Di'd. I think we managed to make it sound half decent! As for vocals, we'll keep playing around. Cheers!
16. Ah cheers man! glad you like it, there is definitely more in the pipeline. Great to hear a bit of feedback...thanks. The vocal is an experiment...we have an alternate mix with no vocal, just wanted to see if this worked or not. Haven't decided yet!
17. Hey guys! Another tune for your ears to hopefully enjoy... Let me know what you think. The bass was of course my cardboard (or similar material) double bass with a Bass Max fitted, along with a Neumann Mic. NEW TUNE: http://dl.dropbox.co...20Em-One%29.m4a Thanks! x The two previous tunes... 21. Ah thanks man! First time my DB playing has been complimented. Glad you liked it, we'll be putting up more videos soon!
22. The other day we had our very first band practice. I think it went really well and we managed to get down 3 originals ...should be gigging by september. It's exciting and new! have a look at this song... Cheers!
23.
It is a great album. If you like Rain Dogs I'd check out Swordfishtrombones next
Nighthawks at The Diner is a must.
24.
Do you still miss your old one?
I really miss it. It was a sight to behold, in the flesh it was awesome. Maybe I preferred my HS - it had more 'soul' and played like nothing else. I eventually got realized that I didn't need such an epic bass but regretted selling it pretty much instantly. I've got the Sterling now though, and a Jazz which cover mostly everything I could need.
