The sub has a hi pass filter switch, does this come into play?

Thanks for all this. I'm assuming 2 mixes is the best way to go but I'm no expert. The manual for the sub says, connect 2 xlrs from the main out puts on the mixer to the sub inputs. Then connect the passive (or active) speakers to the outputs on the sub. This wouldn't use the speaker outputs on the mixer at all? Would this by default limit the amount of bass going to the more delicate top speakers?

Help required. In our band we use a beheringer pmp3000 powered mixer. We have 2 passive speaker cabs (2 x 12) which are connected to the 2 "speaker outputs" on the back. We now have an active alto tssub15 sub which we'd like to use. We are not a loud rock band, more a sixties beat group playing mid size venues. We normally use the pa for vocals only but by adding the sub or possibly two we want to be able to put the bass and bass drum through the pa to throw it further in the room. We don't really want bass and bass drum in the main speakers, just in the sub. How would we seperate the outputs? Anyone done this? Advice welcome

I've got an gk mb200 and my cab is due a new speaker tbf. It's a vintage 70's vox. Think it's 1 x 18 or maybe 1 x 15. I'm not bothered about authenticity just want a nice new speaker that will give me the full range of my head. Any suggestions? Price range? Ohms? Suppliers? Cheers

As some will know, I'm in a Beatles tribute band. We normally play theatre shows and some private functions, but last night we had a pub gig as a bit of a favor for the landlord we know. Anyway, as a bit of a change from playing the Hofner, I decided to a whole gig on my rick! Outrageously bad taste playing all the pre 66 stuff on the rick but it was nice to do a full set with it. It's a 4003 in maple glow, rocking the post Beatles era stripped look. Mines from 1997 and I concur, they are special.

Love foxton, legend. Many a gig has included his art school era patent jump. I wonder if he still has his old ricks and ibanez copy? Do these old pros keep them or are they just nostalgia to us fans. I always see Townsend playing some nasty modern strat with fancy pickups etc etc never see him with his famous old guitars, ricks, p90 sg, three humbucker les Paul etc

How about an ampeg portaflex 350? Any good?

I want a new bass head to replace my old trace. I drive a 1 x 15 cab. We generally play venues upto 200 capacity, often not d.i. Into pa. I've seen tc electrics do one 250 watt, mark bass, ampeg too What do people recommend? Not up to speed with gear these days. These micro heads look great, small, light and uncomplicated. 250-300 budget.

I've got a Tokai ricken faker 6 string to part with. Struggling to sell it, Gumtree and the like take it down. No joy on eBay too. Any suggestions or takers???
