I should add ................ at solo tuning pitch they bow really well. At orchestral pitch they bow well but a light touch and NOT a low string height help. They are so like Kolstein Heritage that I have always had the feeling that they might supply Kolstein.

Top two strings of a solo tuning set. The 1st string (A ) has been installed for less than 20mins the 2nd string (E) is new and unused. They are too low tension for me. These strings have a good reputation among slap players when tuned down to orchestral pitch (G & D) £35.00

I wish I had the know how. It came I think from a guitar pickup maker, I know not who. It reminds me of a bass pickup that EMG used to make.

Is that why I couldn't understand the front panel? It did seem rather incomprehensible.

This pre amp has only one input, I prefered to use an a/b pedal for the piezo and bowing rather than mix the 2 signals. I am having a big clear out and havn't used steel strings for years, so I havn't used the Biesele.

De Armond double bass microphone, complete with fixing clamps and lead in original box. This is a rare collectors item, I think dating back to the 1960's. How usable it is in the modern world is another matter. The microphone is fully functioning but I think would benefit from extra shielding. The rubber skirt at the bottom of the unit is now hard and has probably never been removed. £100
