1. Gave it a try with exp pedal in toe up and down positions but no joy, and mono cables don't seem to work either - the pedal fairies aren't being very kind to me on this one. Thanks anyway.
2. I'm struggling to get my Behringer US600 (Boss PS-5 clone) to work with an expression pedal. Tried with 4 different stereo cables, using a Boss FV500-L; I also wired up a separate 10k linear pot to a stereo jack to rule out expression pedal fault. Both of these methods work with the exp inputs on my Boss and EHX pedals. Basically I'm pretty sure it's down to the Behringer. Works perfectly in all other departments, tracks well. The parameters vaguely change on some settings when a expression's plugged in, but it's warbly, random and sounds like a dying hippo. Gone through 3 US600s (returned 2) so unless there's a serious design fault with just the exp input (I doubt it; I know Behringers get a bad rap but they can't be that bad - their tuner and chorus work great) then I'm stumped. Anyone got any bright ideas? Wondering if they need a different pot in the exp pedal (tried with a 500k log hooked up to stereo jack, no joy), but don't really want to buy loads of variations to try them out (most expressions seem to use something around 10 - 50k linear anyway).
3.
Also want to get a Chorus, maybe instead of the compressor, any recommendations?
Boss CEB-3 I find is a great chorus. Does subtle well, probably not as wet or shimmery as some others (though it can do OTT sounds), but does have low filter control so you can chose how much effect is applied to low frequencies. Comes in analogue & digital; in my experience the former's a bit warmer, latter's a bit clearer. Can also recommend the Behringer BUC400 (Boss clone); identical in sound, but so much cheaper (got mine £20 new). It's plastic, but they're still pretty tough.
4. I use these for fixing: http://www.pedalstuff.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7&zenid=9515eeb6116d4dc8c15d84def33374af Work great, not pricey either.
5. Sold Mike a killswitch pedal. Fast payment and great communication: deal with confidence.
6. Damon bought a couple of effects loop pedals off me. Super fast payment, great communications, no problems at all - very highly recommended.
7. They're a pain to find (no longer made) but I use an Earthbound Audio Beast with my active Ibanez SR506 - it seems made for bass. It's basically a EHX Russian Big Muff on steroids. There's a mids adjustment and 'Depth' knob, which works really well with low end - no loss of bass whatsoever to my ears and loads of saturation available. There was one for sale on the forum for £100 not long ago (they were about £160 new shipped from the US). There's also the Supercollider, which is a Beast without the 2 feedback loops, cheaper if you can find one. All subjective of course, but to me it's the first and probably last boutique fuzz I'll ever buy. And they look cool.
8. Super happy killswitch still available bump.
9. SOLD SOLD SOLD Photos: http://www.flickr.co...157634968275821 Eno PT-21 mini tuner for sale. Probably smallest pedal tuner available at the moment. Tracks notes perfectly, sturdy construction, bright display, used once to test it and comes with box & instructions. Mooer size enclosure 92 x 38mm. Currently £29 new on eBay. BUT... It only recognises guitar standard tuning (EADGBE) and one octave above those pitches, along with one semi-tone below standard and their +1 octaves. So it does 12th fret harmonic on the bass for example, but not open bass strings. I bought it not knowing this and won't do B and C on my 6 string bass, hence the sale. Basically one for guitarists or bass people who have serious space issues on their board but can't afford a Polytune mini, and don't mind harmonics. Don't know if either of those exist on this forum, but I'm hopeful. £22.50 posted (Paypal or bank transfer).
