  1. Bought a guitar stand from Paul. It arrived as described, well packaged and quickly. Nice fella to deal with too. Can’t ask for more than that. Thanks again Paul. (Apologies about the delay in feedback).

    Cheers

  2. Virtually new with tags still attached, in top condition with carry bag and original shipping box. It did one rehearsal with the original owner and one 30 minute rehearsal with myself. Selling as at the same time I also got a MB Marcus Ltd Ed Gold which better suits the project I’m working on.

The TB is a fabulous loud and powerful head and I really wish I could justify keeping it but I could do with some other stuff too.

May consider other stuff too - Boss DD200, MacBook Pro. Try me.

Will post fully insured at buyers expense. Collection and trial much preferred.

I bloody love Level 42, however my one and only live experience, many years ago, wasn’t a good one. Probably down to the terrible Blackburn King Georges Hall more than anything, but also the band didn’t seem to be firing on all cylinders either.

I’m embarrassed to say that I left halfway through and went home.

I’d love to give them another go…. but missed out this time

King Georges is not a great sound at all. I’m a Blackburn boy (as you may remember) and historically the sound has not been good to say the least. The last band I saw there was Adam and the Ants. The sound was awful. A lot of that, let’s. have a load of sub bass that was never intended to be there. Drown out the important bass sound with a monotonous drone because that’s what people want right 😂. Dire. All that on top of a venue with a less than adequate reputation for sound quality. I found the only place in the house to actually hear the band anywhere near properly was stood up on the highest seats in the house on the back row of the top balcony. Blummin steep those seats too! 😂

  4. Got a P bass project recently with some Toneriders in. Sounded huge. I fitted a new guard and then no sound? I thought  I’d disturbed something in the wiring so I tested it and nothing, I wondered if I’d nicked the pup wires whilst reseating the pups after shielding the cavity but no. Tried different pups straight onto the existing wiring  and they work. Tried the Toneriders again and they are dead? I still quite don’t believe it.

I don’t know what happened but I’ve killed them. I can’t ever remember having a pick-up die on me before?

What a load of smug tosh

Same here - i got right royally stuffed for over a hundred quid using Paypal, but because the courier registered that it was " delivered  "  they wouldnt  accept it was " ITEM NOT RECEIVED "   I saw no proof of signature.  They didnt have one.

I was furious, so i contacted my bank, which were reluctant to help at first, because it was a debit visa card and it was involving Paypal.  Should have used a credit card, but they came good in the end.  I got a rather aggrieved email from Paypal, and i told them in polite words to Foxtrot Oscar.  I dont use Paypal anymore.

So if anyone mentions,  quote :   "If someone says to me they have a problem with their PayPal account I halt the sale and block them"   I dont give a hoot, and you lose a sale.

I don’t use PayPal anymore. I got stuffed too. Item delivered. Proof of delivery. Signature. Buyer said they hadn’t received it. PayPal took their side and refunded their money. When I pointed out that I had proof of delivery and a signature from the address, I was told that, I could not prove that the person who signed for and took the parcel at that address was the person who bought it. I couldn’t even claim on the insurance as the item was deemed delivered.
I stopped Selling on Ebay and using PayPal after that. Nobody needs to pay for anything if that’s how they are running things.

  6. Itch Scratched.

Only for sale until an itch of mine has mine has been scratched.

This is not a Fender bass

Bitsa Precision built from quality parts. Lovely instrument. I will try and get an accurate weight but I’d guess a little over 9lb.

Bass built by BC’er Shaggy. Parts consist of -

    Solid alder body

Olympic white finish, aged to pale cream

    Vintage-spec genuine celluloid tort pickguard

One piece highly flamed maple neck with skunk stripe

Sllim Jazz bass profile; amber tint poly finish with '70's Fender logo. Truss rod adjust at heel end.

    Seymour Duncan Basslines SPB-2 pickup

10 position Stellartone Tonestyler varitone (in tone control position; vol control is stacked vol and passive tone

    CTS pots and Switchcraft jack.

Lacquered solid brass high-mass bridge imported from US (through body stringing),

    Lacquered solid brass neck plate

    Gold control knobs

    Gold Schaller tuners

Parts alone exceeded £600 in value.

Pics from when I bought the bass about 10 months ago but the condition is virtually the same.  Hope you do nt mind me using your pics Until I get some decent ones of my own Shaggy?

Collection from Blackburn Lancs preferred but can ship at buyers expense and risk. It will be well packed for its journey though. The cost of a semi rigid case can also be discussed if needs be. Any questions please ask.

  7. Chaos. Have you ever tried to play bass, sing and catch PA cabs at the same time? Drunk women everywhere. Falling all over the place. Talking borax, flirting with remnants of slaver and sick on their chins and generally acting like they’d had a blow to the back of the head. One particular woman kept on falling into the PA and into the singer/guitarists pedals. She had to be picked up and steadied countless times. In the end between songs, my brother who was in the audience and fed up with having to sort her out and asking her to behave, shouted at her in full view of the audience“ “Look, if you don’t fekin sort yourself out, I’m going to fondle your bottom”. 😂😂 She looked at him hiccuped and said “ I beg your pardon?” He shouted back “You heard”. She about turned and cleared off and stood at the bar. Much to the relief of everyone else. You could see the look of relief in folks faces. My brother got a few smiles and pats on the back too 😂😂 Some folk will probably think he shouldn’t have said that but believe me, he saved her from getting punched and kicked as she’d upset a good number of folk by that time. Anyway, we’re playing there again next year but we intend to take a barricade. Seriously!

No. I'm out of money. But the net effect is the same.

I totally agree but I’ve had some outstanding instruments and equipment over the years and have still sold them in an endless futile search. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m never going to be happy so why have thousands invested in something I’m not happy with?  Maybe if I was a rich bloke I might feel different though 😁

Put some flats on it. The frets on these are soft and wear very easily! And as it's from CG, some antibacterial wipes won't hurt 😂

Got it! A good scrub with a wire brush and dettol sorted it. Smells lovely now 😂 Strings surprisingly ok. A bit of a neglected bass I must say but at under £60 with a gigbag…

Guide stickers on the neck (came off really easily) High action. Took it as low as it would possibly go at the bridge and still too high. Ummmm. Adjusted the truss rod as far as I felt I should. It would have gone further but I thought no, I’ll not push it. It was still a bit high for my liking so I shimmed it. Now it’s perfect for my taste. I even had to raise the bridge a bit (which I wanted really as the saddles were literally sitting on the bridge plate).

The bridge plate actually looks a bit bent, which might account for the action. You might be able to see it in the pictures.

The neck is definitely more chunky-ish Precision feel. I would have liked Jazz but I knew it said Precision before I bought it. It plays quite nicely though. No sharp edges

The tuners will need replacing. They are shoddy. If these are an example of what they become over time, change yours if you get the chance. Some are slack one is really tight. One is wobbly.

No neck dive to speak of on this one. Maybe a tad but certainly not as issue for me. Lovely and light.
Can’t knock the sound either. I’ve only had it through the home studio setup but it sounded well through there. I’ll get it through my rig at rehearsals next week. If it lacks in the sound department, I’ve got a Yammy P/J pup setup that would sit nicely in there anyway.

I’d definitely gig with it if needs be. It’s not the best thing since sliced bread. It’s a cheap more than capable tool and great value for money.

    That’s my spare sorted!

I’ve ordered one at £129 😳😂 it looks the exact same to me and maybe why he didn’t admit to what it was…

I’ve just got one from the local Cash Generator for £59.99. Can’t wait to pick it up tomorrow! 😁
