  1. Thumbs up to all of the above, versatility is the key if your band has a diverse range of songs, most tones can at least be partially replicated via amp settings and the way you attack the strings (high treble and gain played at the neck gave entwhistle a sharp aggressive tone with no plectrum on sight) I regret not learning to use a pick but its got to the point where I don't consider it "my voice" if you are in a covers band it probibaly pays to switch things up.
  2. Too late, already declared my interest in the cort a4 for sale, I. AM. DOOMED!
  3. Other bassists the two styles give different sounds, I have always been a fingerstyle player but I don't discriminate, if you are more adept with a pick then don't put aesthetics above sound.
  4. If this goes back on sale I would be interested
  5. Thought it was time to stop my voyeuristic tendencies and sign up to this here forum malarkey Started playn bass again after a four year brake in which I achieved very little. Hurray! Play a fender p bass (mim) and I have massive regret over the basses I have sold during thr wilderness years, a shecter stilletoe custom, Warwick vette $$ and a mia jazz your for sale section may be deadly to my bank. So aye.......hello fae Shetland
