2.
Is the reason to why everyone hates Hucknall because he's ginger and has alot more money than all of us and can get around girls pretty easily? Or is it just trendy to not like him?
I don't like him cos he's a twat
3. First gig with new material @ The Cellar Bar in Bracknell last night Fair few people turned up and a great atmosphere - sound was good although we were very very loud (bass especially ) Only major f**k up was having to restart our 2nd song cos the drummer went to pieces, but apart from that everything went smoothly. Pain in the ass gettin the gear in and out though - Venue is down some horrible steep stairs.
4. About a fiver - will you take a cheque?
5. My pedal chain currently looks like this: Boss ODB-3 - EHX Bass Balls - Marshall Jackhammer - Flanger - Limiter I find this works quite well as running the ODB-3 into the Bass Balls gives some quite nice synthy sounds, and running the bass balls into the Jackhammer gives more of a glitchy sort of sound (especially with the dist switch on the Bass Balls turned on) so I'm happy with that part of the chain. What I can't work out is whether the Limiter should go before or after the flanger. Sound different both ways and I can't decide which one I like better - What order do people usually put these sort of fx in?
6.
I've just upgraded my cabs so here is a home made 1x15 bass cab free to collect from Woking Surrey or I can deliver very locally. I got it dirt cheap on the Bay and it works fine. It's a bit tatty, but is pretty light weight and has handles on the side. I have no idea of wattage or ohmage so it's a case of suck it and see. Please note this is just for the cab, yer not having me little Pervey!
PM sent
7. Hi All, I have just sorted out a new OD/Distortion pedal and I don't think I'm going to be using my Boss ODB-3 anymore. It's not that I don't like the pedal it's just I fancied a bit of a change. It's in perfect working order, although the case has a few chips (like any other pedal that's been used in anger) Basically I'd like to trade this for another pedal - specifically a wah if anyones got one going spare, but I am open to other suggestions. Let me know what you've got. Cheers Chris
8. Swapped a pedal with Rich - turned up within a day and couldn't of been any easier. Nice one. Chris
9. Like the title says - feel free to say nice things about me.

11.
Hey man, Warpig has first dibs on the body, I need to get some proper pics of it first too, which should happen this weekend. If he doesn't want it though, you're next in line. Hope that's cool... Eude
No Problem.
12. My band's called Within Our Rights - you can check us out here It's kind of alternative rock type stuff.
13. I have one of these that I bought off here a while ago, just to use on one song, and as we've now dropped that song from our set it's just sat on my pedalboard not being used. I'm interested in trades for other pedals, especially fuzz and distortions. Let me know what you got. Cheers Chris (I'll post some pics later when I get home from work)
14.
hey bass people, iv'e got an ashdown powered sub in my garage, and was wondering if any one has one as iv'e never seen another , it's for knocking buildings down i think !!! anyone else seen or used one ?? cheers kev
never seen one - but I want one
15. I'll take a ticket - PM me the details and I'll pop a cheque in the post
16.
I don't know about the Brandoni kits but you could get all the bits seperate like I did with my ebay special. I bought a VMJ with a Stagg neck for £75, Mighty Mite Jazz neck £57 Schaller machine heads £18.40 and a hipshot string retainer for £6.45. The WD kit is hardware only, you have to get a body and neck on top.
I think this is probably what I'll end up doing - Try and source a cheap body and neck from somewhere (I have machine heads and a badass bridge already so it's only really pickups and electronics I'd need on top of that anyway)
17. I'm thinking about putting a Jazz style bass together from parts and was wondering whether anyone has any experiences or recommendations on the kits available from Brandoni or elsewhere? I'd be on a fairly tight budget but don't want something that's going to be sh*t.
18.
I really liked the reverb on the vocals - it added character to the mix and seemed to set the whole band in a room - which I like. To be fair if you're going for radio play maybe it's a bit too much on the weird side?
I like the reverb as well, but listening back and as Ped pointed it out it might be a tad harsh in places - I think I may keep the reverb as is but just try to soften the sound a bit (I think the main problem is the small amount of plate reverb that is on the Vocal along with the reverb for the main mix, I may try reducing the level of this slightly to see how it sounds)
19.
Didn't get as far as the solo'd bit - the ODB-3 has that kind of nasty s/s distortion though it's often lost once the rest of the band is playing.
Not if you use the blend control and eq properly!!!
20. I want this bass - if I wasn't facing redundancy at the moment I'd definitely be interested!!!
21. We have 5 at the moment. I've only ever been in 3 pieces really before this one but I think I prefer it - although it's quite tricky at times with the Keys and bass occupying the same sort of frequency range - I think I might just chop his left hand off - that should solve the problem.
22.
Superb - I like a lot of your tracks. Thanks for the link. Perhaps the only thing I would change is the reverb on the vocals is a bit bright and metallic sounding in places. The bass sound works well. Quite big and round, juxtaposes quite nicely against the bright piano and guitar, fills a lot of space. Nice. ped
Thanks - I think I agree with your point on the reverb, but that won't be too hard to change. And thanks for the positive comments on the bass sound it was a complete bitch to get that sounding right.
