Stagg love is in the air.Everywhere I look around. :wub: I dont think youll regret getting one mate.Not that its the be all and end all of eubs, but its enough for me and one of the best value for money buys Ive made in a long time. I only hope Im up to the task.

Looks absolutely stunning. One question (probably being a biff) but the specs say 380w into 4 ohms. Im assuming both the combo and the cab are 8 Ohms. giving 4 ohms resultant? Cant work out the approx 500W output? but its probably me. If its 500W im very interested.

Didnt play the Stagg in the Jam, but the band stopped playing mid way through the beasts first song in rehearsal cos it sounded so good. Not me you understand, just the Stagg. Thanx Linus. It is a lovely deep red. Already had two guys come up thinking it cost about a grand. Auditioning it in front of the rest of the band tonight for the first time and it might just get an airing at the jam we go to after rehearsal. Not all that accomplished yet but its pretty forgiving on the intonation front. I have no idea how high the action should be but am bashing away regardless at the hawsers like a good un. Did you or OG mess around with the set up at all or did you leave it as is?

Problem solved. Went at it with a rat tail file. Faint heart and all that.

So the elusive Stagg has finally turned up. Linus was right. It is stunning in the transparent red.One problem that I have is that when Im digging in a wee bit to the e string it pops out of the bridge groove. When I say pops, it explodes. Does anyone else have that problem or am I being a touch industrial. Also will there be a problem if I just deepen the groove a little with a file? Thanx in advance for any advice

So today I find out that I am a colour whore.I started out ordering the Metallic Black, take delivery of a violin burst, return said Stagg and today Im told that the next delivery is the middle of May. Alternatively I can take delivery of a Transparent Red like Linus's tomorrow. Surprised myself by saying ok straight away. Got to say thanx to Linus for posting the picture of his red one. Looks great and made the decision a no brainer. Just goes to show, when you got bad GAS, deliberation aint got a look in. Cheers. Wish me luck tomorrow.

Au contraire mes amis. The violin burst in the flesh is very nice. Looks like a Fender sunburst but with all the different angles, the depth of colour is quite unusual. But what do I know, mine is going back. Silent tear in eye. I want to join in.

absolute disaster.Stagg turned up at 1030. Feverish unpacking followed by loads of wows. Then reality dawns. Its only got a chip out of the laminate just below the fingerboard that can be seen clear across the room. After major examination there are numerous dinks and dents in the neck, by the neck bolts and in the string housing. However there was also an inch crack in the laminate leading from the neck join to one of the neck bolts. Caramba. Nicola at Zings was v helpful and investigated at their end. Upshot is that they are adamant that it was pristine when it left the warehouse. Unlikely as the courier would have had to open the box. unwrap the foam, open the gig bag (well nice BTW) and use the bass as a caber for a bit. Disappointed of Berkshire now as I have to send it back on Monday with no prediction of stock availability. Had a play with it obv and really enjoyed it tho. How do you get the body rest in to the holes. Completely failed that one. Oh well Patience grasshopper.

One of the other reasons I went Violin burst is that in mettalic black it bears an uncanny resembleance to the 50 calibre sniper rifle in call of duty 4. Might raise a few eyebrows in some of the less than salubrious areas I have been known to frequent
