    Wow! So many responses,) .
Well, it seems that over90% of you think that I should try again.
    I suppose , the older you get you analyse more,and become more indecisive .(in my case any way);

2010, was my worst year ever . October of that year was my last gig.
I still know a lot of people, but over the years , they got married/ moved out. etc.
Trying to get people to see me on a sat night was difficult in that sense. Ones you expect to turn up don't and the ones you don't expect do.
Playing in front of one man and his dog , was deflating.

Finding places to play is getting harder also.

On the positive side of things, my playing has improved while recording bits and pieces on my ipad.
Trying to do complete songs takes time tho' ,)
May sell a few basses, but love noodling on my Washburn status.
As far as another hobby , I have no idea what :(
May join a hair (less) metal band next year. Who knows,)
[/quote]good choice on the hair metal, that's what I play , trying to get a good list of songs memorised

  3. Tricky they are both Icons. Jimmy has made a huge mark in popular music
I would have to pick jeff , if its difficult I think who would I like to be? And it would be cool to be beck
He shreds like mad, is a great fusion player, is in great shape has great hair and plays awesome guitars
Has just played onstage with the worlds greatest rock n roll band and was in the yardbirds
He is the ultimate rock star.

  4. That is some serious engineering absolutely A+
But it is a very modern version of one of those pianos where you put a roll of music in and it uses the mechanical apparatus to turn the input into music.
Really scary will be a robot hand plucking a bass guitar, it will use audio sensors to analyse the music for frequency and timing to pick out the bass using an algorithm devised from a library of players from different genres, it would then attempt to work out the baseline by a system of plucking and fretting and comparing the results to the original.I think manipulating the robotic hands will be the hardest part I think the analasyis of the track would be quite feasible given a powerful modern computer.
