5. Hi, Ive recently down sized to a mark bass little mark 3 and 2 x 10 cab and i have decided to let my old rig go. Both bits of gear are in great condition and both sound great!! They became my spare rig after i bought the Mark bass gear and they are too good to have as spares so Ive just bought a superfly for £100 as a spare and decided to let these go to a good home. SWR 750x - I am the 2nd owner of this amp and I was told it was hardly used by the previous owner and even though I have gigged this over the last 4 years, it has not been run into the ground and it has never been smashed around in the back of a van and I have always taken care of it. It comes with the original fx foot switch and instructions and also comes with a protective rack that it has lived in the whole time I have owned it which came with it when I bought it. I will sell this on its own for £350 or offers there abouts. Ampeg SVT410HLF - I bought this brand new around 3 years ago and it has been a great cab, Again, it has not been smashed around in a back of a van which is the reason why the cab wrapping is all still in mint condition. I will this on its on for £350 or offers there abouts. The combo sound great with each other and I am selling them both as a pair for £650. I am based in Wakefield West Yorkshire so anyone wants to travel they are welcome to try before you buy! Thanks
6. Purchased the bass ive been looking for a long time off pete. Great guy to deal with, very helpful and no messing. Sent more photos for me when I requested them and even had a espresso ready for when I arrived. Can't go wrong. Thanks again pete , have not put the bass down since I got back home!
7. Hi, I was wondering if you are interested in swapping gear rather than just basses? I have a SWR 750x head, sans amp rbi and a ampeg SVT 410HLF 4x 10 cab all of which I am wanting to sell in the near future. All in excellant condition. Any interest in these items at all? Thanks, Chris
8. thanks alot for advice, may look into other options then that people have mentioned.
9. Definatley intersted in the cab, is it the cab to match the micro head? Also what is the bottom end like on these cabs, im looking to downsize my rig but keep some power. cheers
10. Like many now Im seriously thinking about down sizing my stack, sick of carting my heavy rig around for gigs now. Im thinking about purchasing an ampeg micro vr stack and just wondering if anyone has one or has played through on and give me any info on it. For example, are they the real deal in terms of producing a powerful bass sound? I cant help thinking that Its almost a gimmick in terms of been a novelty toy 'mini' stack and as a result the sound been really thin and too practice ampish? I play gigs such as weddings in function rooms to quite large university venues (but going through huge PA) so wondering if this stack would be able to handle these types of gigs? Any help would be much appreciated and would love suggestions of similar small lightweight stacks that are better? Preferably in the same price range!! Thanks
11. Im currently interested in buying fender jazz parts and creating my dream j bass and have a luthier put it together for me. Im in need of help with particular parts. Im wanting a maple 75 jazz style neck with the block pearl fret inlays (similar to the marcus miller neck), ive seen copies of this neck to buy but I want a legit fender one. Is that possible, and if so any idea where to get them? I also need advice on where to get a jazz bass body and where I should go to get it painted professionally the colour I want (shell pink) Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks
12.
what style of music do you play? lightweight heads are now reasonably priced and theres a good range of decent styles. cabs however havn't come down in price so much. with cabs you still have to pay a lot more for a light weight cab that is of equal volume to a heavier cab.
I do alot of depping for funk/soul bands so anything that can handle those sort of gigs would be fine. Ive tried Mark bass gear and its great, but Im looking for something cheaper and something I dont have to worry about as much when some drunken idiot at a wedding gig spills beer on it
13. Im sick of carting my swr 750x head in rack and ampeg 4x10 cab to gigs and worrying bout damaging them so I am looking for something not to replace it but a lighter and cheaper alternative to my usual rig to cart to gigs without too much worrying if owt happens to them but still need the volume my swr produces. Can anyone recomend anything? Are ashdown little giant's any good? It needs to be small, light, reasonable price and loud. Thanks
14. Hi, Im wanting to sell my Fender BXR 300c combo amp and wanted to see what people on here think is a fair price to sell it for? Its in great condition working wise as ive had it recently serviced, the exterior has the odd marks and ware and tear from gigging but overall its in good working order. Any ideas? p.s it was owned by the cribs before me and was used for all their first tours. cheers, hope someone can help
