Some of Admiral Fallow's stuff is double bass and pretty poppy -
Sorry to hear you having to get rid of this beauty, I can vouch for this bass being a masterpiece and unbelievably easy to play for its size (I have midget hands and I managed). Would have it in a heart beat but funds do not allow and it may look a little out of place in a folk punk band.

you sir have a PM

Great guy, did his best to help when Royal Mail where doing their best to be feckless idiots.

Is is definitely distortion, could it be a mechanical rattle? Something in the cab, amp or even the room you are in might be just loose enough to rattle giving a buzzing sound. I have had that a few times.

These basses are absolutely fantastic, I have the 6 string and it is awesome
-
hmmm I am starting to see a trend of people called Dan having a fantastic taste in basses
-
mmm sounds nice. I would love the funds for another Dingwall, nicest basses I have ever encountered. Can't wait to see this come together.
p.s. going by your twitter your name is Dan, small world that dbass and d-basser on here are both Dingwall wielders called Dan -
Nice song, really like the idea for the vid but found the wobbly camera a little off putting
-
I have never wanted a T-bird before but dayum that looks nice

Peaveys are very good for the money but I have to say the Lakland I used to have was bloody awesome. I would go for a Laky if you can get one second hand but if you see a nice Peavey anywhere I doubt you'll be disappointed for the money.

Franz and Chris are both awesome artists, for fans of folk punk or just damn good songs.
I will be supporting Friday at the Glasgow show (playing with Dave Hughes) -
Composition changed early 90s

I wish, but I hate to see the taxi driver's face when I try and get to my next gig

Can't go wrong with Barefaced, my wee Midget handles a low A without any issues, not too expensive either.

Good to know they are that helpful if I ever have problems with mine.
I have had good service from EBS too in the past, emailed them about the spec for the bulb that goes behind the valve in the Fafner and they sent me two new ones from Sweden for free. -

Yup, sitting up till the middle of the night to bid on weird basses pays off. -
Can't afford it, sorry, but I can attest to the quality of these basses. Probably the most versatile and playable instruments I have come across. Whoever does buy this will not be disappointed.
-
Keep sharing them, it is those opinions that keep them niche and cheap for me
-
Keep and eye on ebay, 6 strings don't seem to go for anywhere near as much as their 4 and 5 string cousins. I got my 6 string Dingwall ABI on ebay a few years back, mint condition, for only slightly more than you are budgeting and they are over £2400 new!

That list looks like a slightly shorter version of the mod I linked, always good to see people agreeing about what changes to make.
Orange Terror Bass 500W - SOLD
in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Posted · Edited by d-basser
Selling my 500 watt Orange Terror Bass head as I picked up a Mark Bass in the sales. It is in very good condition, used for a couple of years but never abused, I have taken very good care of it.
Included in the sale are:
- The head itself
- Power cable
- Padded carry case
- Original 12AX7 preamp valves that offer a lot of drive
- Currently fitted valves (Philips 5751s) that allow a wider range of gain from warm to overdrive
- XLR attenuator: the output on the amps DI is very hot meaning it can be awkward to run straight into the desk, this attenuates the signal keeping sound engineers happy
I am asking £320 + P&P, these are around £490 new and with the replacement valves I think that is fair.
