1. Good review. I run mine at 18v and it does give it a lot more headroom. Ive been a bit on/off with the pedal for the past few months, mainly because I wasnt too keen on the sound of it on its own. Ive just recently started playing in a new band and this pedal is a lot better in the mix, as you say adding bite and grind to the tone. You should definitely try it after some dirt too, it really beefs it up and makes it angrier!

  2. Moving house again soon, and with xmas coming up too, im very poor. All pedals are boxed, in good condition, and all have velcro on the bottom except the Turbo Rat. I need to sell these fairly quick so i believe im pricing them fairly, with all prices including postage. Bank transfer is preferred but I will accept paypal.

changed up my board AGAIN, more in depth details over on sheps blog:

it was a follow up interview to one we did previous (which is linked on there too, with my old board)
you can also check out my basses etc up on there, ive just started routing up a pedalboard for another project, which should have weirder bass effects (not just LOUD - haha)
so i'll get some shots of that up soon, it's looking pretty wacky
    lets geek out!

Awesome setup. You still using the Pearce BC-1?

Ive just noticed the ugly head thing on the cab too, i swear I had the same one about 20 years ago!

That looks a very cool board! How do you find the Schism?
Thanks :) Im still a bit undecided on it at the moment, but I think thats more down to the pedals im using. Its great for giving me switching options, but my original plan of running dirt in parallel with a clean blend didnt really work as well as I thought. I think I need the dirt to be more drastically different to make it worthwhile, as at the moment they both kind of work in the same ball park and the sound doesnt change much at all. Im gonna keep experimenting though!

  5. So after moving house recently, ive finally got a new project on the go. The new band didnt need a complicated bass, and i need to travel round the centre more, so ive gone back to my pt-jr and given myself plenty of dirty options. Its a lot more simple now but im actually enjoying it a lot more. Apologies for the phone pic.

new addition squeezed onto the end of my board... i wish pedaltrain made a slightly wider mini, it's just not quite wide enough for me and my clumsy feet!

liking the tremorslo so far :)

Thats an awesome mini. I could happily rock that!

  7. Very understanding guy to deal with. I just sold a pedal to Andy whilst in the middle of moving house. A few sporadic messages here and there from me but we got the pedal there in the end! Received the money no problems, wouldnt hesitate to deal with again.

    Cheers!

  8. That wasnt a for sale post  Im still trying to find the sweet spot with the Rat Tail, but so far its either sounding too thin or a bit buzzy rather than the grind they're known for. Feel like its more suited to playing with a pick rather than fingers. I havnt tried it in a mix yet so that could change a lot.

  9. Not the best picture, but this is what ive been using:

Slowly been building up to this, thought it'd be perfect for the things I want to do, aaaaand....no. Thinking of having a big overhaul and probably downsizing too. The oxide and rat tail arent doing it for me, the schism seemed right on paper but im just not getting the results i was expecting, and im still searching for the overdrive for me.

I miss the days when I wasnt fussy.

  10.
+1 Always stick compression at the end of your chain...
Depends what sound you want. I hate having a compressor at the end of my chain as I find it muffles my dirt pedals and takes the life out of them. Really dont like it.
