Machined two radiuses at the end of the neck. Machined the neckpocket and pickup holes. And the coming together of the two (not yet glued), the neck has a perfect fit in the body and needs to be pushed in with a reasonable amount of force and already stays in place by the way it fits.

Position markers are in place. I've been busy sanding the body today, but it's a bit useless to place pictures of that.

Drilling the position markers with the use of a drilling template. And glued in the markers, normally I use aluminum rod for these but for this bass I wanted wooden ones, I used toothpicks for them because they have the right diameter.

Leveling and straightening the sides of the neck. Shaping the headstock and headstock-neck transition. And the final result for todays work.

Made a set of truss rod covers on the laser engraving machine (at work).

Done some rough neck shaping today and drilled the holes for the tuners.

This one. The best bass I've got it almost plays itself, and up to now it's one of the best basses I've build.

Leveled the top surface of the neck. And routed the grooves for the trussrods. The end of the grooves at the headstock side will be finished further on the milling machine I have available to me at work.

And glued on the headstock veneer. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow it's the routers turn, leveling the surface of the neck and routing out the grooves for the truss rods.

Glued on the headstock, including a (unplanned) layer of wenge due to a small thinking error wich meant the neck would be to short.

Glued together the wood for the neck.

Decided on the position where the knobs and switches should come and drilled the holes for these. Centered the holes for the single string bridge parts. Rough cut the wood for the neck. Wenge fingerboard, maple/wenge/maple/wenge/maple neck, merbau - with body matching walnut top - headstock.

At last after 1.5 weeks of preparing and gluing, today I've been happily busy with shaping the outside. Sanded flat the backside and glued top to the back.
