1. waiting to hear back from the person who was originally interested in this
2. They are nice, Stag, and they usually generate a lot of interest from around the world, too.
3. Thank you, Dean. Tom might not email until tomorrow night, as he's ill right now at work and I think it's going to be a long night for him. Nice looking bass!
4. I'm so sorry. My website is down. Other photos are now here: http://s764.photobuc...srwild/library/

7. Sorry, folks, my mistake about the year. I thought Tom had said it was a 1999, but it's really a 1997, as the serial number shows. Duh me. Thanks to mikeswals for making me double check.
8.
Trades?
He isn't considering trades, unless you own the type of guitar that JJ Burnel uses.
9.
Nice looking bass. I like Jaydees and have had one since 87 direct from Mr J D himself (its a bit easier when you live on Birmingham). I now have other high end gear (Wal and Alembic) but the Jaydee still holds its own. This looks like great value and I'm sure will please someone. Good luck.
Pretty cool you got yours from Mr J D himself. But I really love the Wal which Tom is selling, and it breaks my heart it's going out the door. Thanks for the kind comments.
10.
I have seen this...it is a beaut! No post so I can't do much
Well, if it's any consolation to you, if there are no local buyers, I will probably be able to convince Tom he MUST ship it. But right now, he's digging his heels in.There is also someone from the Netherlands trying to get him to ship it. If it was mine, I'd ship it, but I understand his reasons.
11. Thank you, Miles'tone, Dingus, and Kev. Much appreciated!
12. and a huge Thank You to you, for getting this sorted!
13.
Suppose you work Mon - Fri. You could take a train from Wigan on Saturday morning to Cardiff and back the same day with 1 change of train for £80 (Swansea = £87, Stirling £84). What's the cost of a courier and the risk of it being damaged in transit? Plus you get a nice day out and you get to see, touch and possibly play the bass before you hand over the readies. If you decide after all you don't want it then ok you've spent £80 but haven't got the hassle of packaging up and sending back a bass you don't want, and trying to get your money back. Let the train take the strain.
+1
14. We do Collection Only, not out of laziness. We prefer the buyer see the item for themself, and we've had too many things get damaged by couriers, including a major antique that was irreplaceable. If we could trust delivery services, it'd be a different story. Besides, my husband loves his guitars too much to risk them being damaged. At least he agrees to travel to meet a buyer halfway if their distance is too great. So some of us have our own reasons for specifying Collection Only. Our items still sell, regardless.
