3. lowdowner - Sorry to hear this! Changes can always take place once the instrument leaves the facility, depending on climatic changes, etc. Did you purchase it from a music store? Hopefully the store will keep a good setup, but not always. All basses are setup to precise specs before leaving the factory in Germany, but we have no control what happens after they leave. I'm glad to hear things were sorted out...please let me know if you ever need assistance. Thanks!
4. Thats a great looking Corvette $$! The $$ provides so many sound possibilities with the configuration, enjoy it! Please let me know if you've ever got any questions or if I can be of assistance in any way.
5. This is simply phenominal! If I wasn't into straight 6's, I'd have it! Best of luck with the sale!

11. Thanks guys. My intention was to give a simple bit of fact for an answer and leave it at that, rather than enter into a debate that really isn't relevant to my position. I'm more than happy to answer all questions to the best of my ability, and am grateful to be welcomed on this forum. I appreciate all the comments and feedback! Please let me know if there is anything I can assist with. Thanks again!
12.
OK if a court orders you you to do something you actually have to do Jack sh*t! This is why billions of £$€ a year are written off because if you lend money to the destitute you might as well burn it and why people who have been told by a judge to pay me what they owe me haven't! If you had said here's the video, I'd be pretty depressed right now but I'm not because you haven't and Rob Green isn't soft! I notice the Warwick bloke has suddenly gone very quiet. We have ended up with fender Japan which in my humble opinion wee wees on Fender USA from a great height. Nothing can touch the neck on a Geddy Lee (and now the 70s RI P-Bass which is basically the same neck). Fender are still considered the original and the best and are doing very well from what I can tell. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all and the greatest bass I have ever played was a prototype Fender Jazz Bass. This was probably made by Mexicans who's descendants now work in the mexican factory, but whatever...
Hey guys, with all due respect...this isn't my argument. I'm here for customer support and to share in the forum...hope you understand. Thanks!
13. That is a STUNNING bass, Grand Wazoo! Enjoy!
14.
if you think earnie ball like to use birdseye maple for their necks, I think i'm right in thinking that that's not the most stable of the maples- so sticking it in the oven to get the moisture out probably is a good thing (warwick for instance do it another way, they let the wood sit in a store for years!) But Wazoo's nice neck looks well made, and looks to be quarter sawn too, so effects.... meh. looks different init?
Wood that is kiln-dried too quickly is harmful to the structure of the wood. Many of the pores collapse, as well as stressing the areas of more/less density. Warwick allows every peice of wood to air-dry for a minimum of 3-5 years (usually longer), and then the wood is brought to an optimum 8% moisture content in a special humid-air kiln. It takes much more time, but the wood is allowed to dry naturally, while preserving the internal structure of the wood - which benefits tone as well as structural integrity against cracking, twisting, etc.
15. LukeFRC, thanks for your feedback. Any changes done in regards to Spector were in the 80's, and it was very simple as the basses were made from completely different woods to begin with. And as far as figuring in the wood....MANY things have changed over the years, especially in the last 4. We are focused on building with the highest quality materials, and quality control is at an all-time high. Even though we have highly advanced machines, we spend more time per bass than ever before...3x more. We have incredibly skilled craftsman hand-working the basses every step of the way. Although we've always been proud of our product, the instruments we are producing today are far greater quality than anything in the past. Not only do we have Wenge...we have FSC-certified Wenge! Thanks again for your comments.
16. Chris2112, I'm sorry the link was not to your bass. But...your email was indeed from Hans-Peter Wilfer. He personally responds to all of the instrument requests. Your are correct, we currently do not have images of the 1990 LTD. Thanks for your support!
17. Thanks for all of the feedback! Your input is appreciated, and I will keep you posted with any developments. In the meantime...keep the comments coming, and thanks again!
18.
Maple with Ekanga veneer stripes - but only at the slimmer width of the older 90's models used to be. I borrowed one of these and loved the neck, would have been a real contender for when i was shopping around for a new one. Cant stand the baseball bat sized newer necks.
longtimefred - Warwick offers 3 neck profiles on 4 string basses, with a 4th Broadneck profile on 5 and 6 string basses. You can view them here: http://warwick.de/modules/custom_shop/options.php?TYP=WOOD_NECK&submenuID=14620&katID=14626&cl=EN Thanks!
19. The Buzzard was thought up in a meeting between John Entwistle and Hans-Peter Wilfer, sketched on a napkin! 80% of the design was created by HPW in the weeks following that meeting, as proven in a court of law. As such, Warwick was the originator of the instrument and will be the sole producer of it. Thanks for your comments!
20. Adding up the cost of replacement parts and comparing to a new item is similar amongst several consumer items. And, mart is correct - the preamp in the Rockbass line is not the same as those used in German-made or Pro-Series basses. Thanks for all the comments and feedback!
21. Hello Everyone! We'd like your feedback on what neck wood you'd like to see on a Streamer Stage 1 - 4, 5, and 6 string models. Maple with Ekanga veneer stripes -OR- Wenge with a maple veneer layer added? What would YOU request? Thanks for your comments!
22. Thanks for the comments. The MEC pickups in the current Rockbasses are exactly the same as those used in the German basses. The hardware is also the very same. 2 years ago the entire Rockbass line was upgraded to feature these amenities. Please let me know if you've got any questions, I would be happy to assist!
23. Chris2112, Your Streamer is gorgeous! What sort of info are you looking for? If you send pictures of the front and back, the serial number and control cavity...send them to [email protected] and you will get all information that is available. Records for those days are not great, but perhaps there will be something to learn. Please let me know if I can assist you in any way. Thanks!
24.
Let me get this right... the £300 Rockbass has the same pups and hardware as a £3000 German made bass? That's the same pups alone, that if bought from the Warwick shop to drop into your bass, would cost you 398 Euro (not mentioning the hardware)!
warwickhunt - Yes, since revamping the entire Rockbass line - they come with MEC pickups, and the same 3D 2-piece bridge, tuners, and Warwick security locks as found on the German made basses. Thanks!
25. AttitudeCastler, Yes...Erland Caspersen IS a Warwick endorser! He is very talented...thanks for the comment! You can see his profile here: http://warwick.de/modules/endorser/list.php?type=musician&katID=14569&cl=EN
