1. I'm potentially open to some trades on this. Of interest would be.... A fiver HX Stomp (plus cash my way) Looking to rejig my amp setup too so a lightweight, giggable amp could tempt me
2. No white scratchplate yet but I have found the owners manual and care instructions. How is your Japanese?
3. Boxed TC Electronic Spectradrive in very good condition albeit with velcro on the underside. Purchased new from Andertons in June 2019 but is not getting used at present so being moved on. These are now discontinued but were a combination of TC Electronic's Spectracomp compressor and Tubedrive circuits in one unit. There's bags of versatility with these due to the Toneprint functionality. I can arrange to drop this off along most of the North Welsh coast or I regularly gig around Manchester too. Could also arrange delivery for an extra £5. Let me know if there's anything I've missed.
4. Fender CIJ 1962 reissue precision bass (PB62-60) from 2007. Selling as I have now moved to 5 strings and so this does not get the attention it deserves. I have owned this from new when purchased in 2007 and it does have some wear and tear from being gigged through the years but still sounds great. I have tried to capture any dings but let me know if any other pictures or info would help. I haven't got the weight to hand but let me know if needed and I shall try and get an accurate measurement. It originally came with a white scratchplate which I replaced with the tortoiseshell seen here shortly after purchase (from this very site I believe!). I'm not convinced I still have the original white one but it may turn up. I'm based in Denbighshire but can arrange delivery across North Wales. I'm also regularly gigging around the North West, particularly Manchester. Not overly keen on arranging a courier in the first instance as I don't have a hard case. Any questions then please let me know!
5. Oh man, has the early bird offer ended today?
6. I have one of these free to a good home (it's a pack of two so to speak and I only needed one) - https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Allparts-Pickup-Cover-Set-for-Precision-Bass-Black/1D01?origin=product-ads&campaign=PLA+Shop+-+GENERIC&adgroup=GENERIC&medium=vertical_search&network=google&merchant_id=1279443&product_id=63505d1&product_country=GB&product_partition_id=644902077543&gclid=CjwKCAiAx_DwBRAfEiwA3vwZYnZgRRqE3v3SD6UEsfQsmYzAnnwJWy1_GCDXIQy5SdZ0pKba7jhZ9xoCRl4QAvD_BwE Happy to post it out at buyer's expense. Cheers! Kris

8. Recently purchased from @woolf on here but I am looking to get the Spectradrive instead. Excellent condition and boxed, using woolf's pictures here but let me know if you'd like any others or any further info. Cheers! Kris
9. Purchased a TC Electronic Spectracomp from Graeme. Arrived quickly and well-packaged and it was in great condition. Cheers Graeme!
10. Bought a Genz Benz combo from Stuart and picked it up from his place. What a gent! Would happily deal with him again
11.
Best of luck for a pass then, which pieces did you play?
You don't have pieces as such for the RGT ones, you get given set basslines that you have to adapt over different chords. I chose to do the swing one. Thanks for the support.
12. So did anyone else have a bass exam today? I did my RGT grade 6 in Deeside, I think it went well but I shall find it out in due time. Hope anyone else who had one had a good time of it
13. Man it's like you've opened a whole new world of playing to me!
14. Right I don't know if anyone else will find this useful but I think it may be a fun idea. I quite often find that I play the same old rhythms all the time and I reckon I am probably not the only one. So what I thought would be a good idea would be for people to suggest a rhythm. Would be interesting to see what other rhythms people will suggest to practice to. I will get the ball rolling with this:
15.
Just picked up a load - thanks for the tip-off!
That's cool, did you go the one in Cardiff? I didn't make it today so I will try tomorrow.
16. Just a heads up, apparently Staples are selling Duracell batteries off cheap. I haven't been myself so I can't confirm it but I will go and take a look tomorrow. Always handy to have some spares http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/duracell-b...-staples/899176
17. I've discovered another problem is that people don't seem to account for key signatures. Awful lot of accidentals wind up the scored which is a bit of a pain.
18. Just discovered this and thought it might be helpful for anyone else looking to do some reading. If you just want to view the score, go to View at the top of the page and choose Hide Tablature. Personally I think it will be rather handy because it gives me access to a lot more sight reading material!
19. Boogie Wonderland - E,W & F Barbarism Begins at Home - The Smiths Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye
20. I'm interested to see how the Classic J will stack up compared to a Fender. Considering that has an RRP of £399 it is a hundred or so cheaper that a Mexican Precision or Jazz at the moment.
21. Close one for me, I think I had my bass for a month when I joined my first band
