that headstaock don't look right for an early 80's, I thought they were identical to a fender around that time. not so pointed at the end, I could be wrong but the early 80's one I had was the exact same shape as a fender.

  2.
+1 for the TRB

I had a TRB 6 II which was great and (I think) the first 6 string which was affordable. They still come up now and again for under £500, which gives a great excuse to buy 2 (or 3) basses instead of one.

Only thing to warn about the TRB 6 II (don't know about the 'proper' TRB) is that it's 35" scale and wide string spacing.

    Happy shopping :)
I got a yamaha John Muang mk2 ,alsome bass seymore humbucker with 3 band eq all active if you interested.

  3.
Rattle and Drum in Derby.

I'm kind of swaying towards Sterlings now. I really need to just sit down and play them, but I've found out the music shop I do a bit of teaching at can get in MMs, so I can get a new Ray 35 for a bargain.

R&D don't have any of the 5 strings in that I'm looking at but they have all the 4 strings so I'm hoping I'll get a good enough idea of the neck and tone from that. Should be heading over tomorrow to have a go then I'll know what I want hopefully. :)
I have had them all stingray 5's , us jazz deluxe 5's, best value for money is a cort gb75 the best of both worlds and block inlays with edge binding ,seriously check them out, I may be selling my white ash one for £375 if you want any more information get in touch, but don't get a warwick, I had a corvette ltd edition cost about £1300 ,well disappointed.

  4.
I'm good thanks, you?

I wonder where that bass is now?
A guy local to me bought it off me, I have been so tempted to knock on his door and try to buy it back, a nice ideal and a great recording tool but not practical for every day gigs and use, If you play a bad gig with that round your neck you would feel a proper nob.

  5.
I think I had that made for the Hellborg Wal I used to own! Did your Wal have Jonas's sig across the back?
Thats right I came down to the middle of no where, and bought the wal off you, thats some time ago now must be 14 years ago maybe longer.
You lived in what looked like a castle, How are you???????

  6. Many years ago I had the pleasure of owning a WAL double neck bass, the same as the one Jonas Helborg used to play, I think it was called the eclipse, but not sure off hand.
Any I have a very clean gig bag to suite one of these made by Capital Mamba, one pocket on the front.
Any offers considered, or trades, don't ask don't get.
    Will post pics later.

  7.
I bought this to use as a back up for my Stingray 5 but the fact that I haven't had to use it at a gig yet and my current financial situation means it's going to have to go

It's black with the alluminium chequer scratchplate, it has a few dings but looks nice, plays like a dream (in fact the sound is as good as the Stingray) 2 EQ active and currently strung with newish groundwounds

I gave £375 for this including the Gator hard case and am looking to get as near to this as I can

    Thanks for looking
any trades????

  8.
The original pg would have been white, but it wouldn't have the truss rod recess or tug-bar holes. it would have been the same as a Mexican standard pg. I have a highway 1 jazz from 2003 which was the first year they were sold. Great basses! Mine's red, but this blue one looks fantastic.
cheers mate, It's a great bass as you know and at mexican money it's a no brainer really.
    Let's hope it goes.
I need the dosh for other bass toys or to pay a tax bill, bollox to the inland revenue I need treats!!!!!!!
