1. cheers guys. very helpful indeed!
2. I know what some self explanatory effects do like fuzz, wah etc but being a new player I haven't the foggiest what some do like envelope filter and flanger etc?!?! Is there somewhere on here that lists effects and what they actually do? Cheers.
3. Selling due to new purchase, it's a 2004 model and has just had new Fender strings fitted. In overall good condition apart from the odd scuff and ding that a guitar of it's age would usually have. looking for £120 collected and I'll include a Fender padded bag for that money.
4. Hi, Only been playing bass for 3 months(past 25 years drumming!) and played my first gig last night! Clueless when it comes to effects. What, if any, do people recommend as a staple diet for effects? i've got a Zoom 708 but it's a bit too technical for me and thinking of having separate pedals instead of an all in one. I'm thinking of adding a compression pedal but not sure what else, no need for wah or weird sounding effects as it's pub rock type stuff! Cheers.
5. I'll take it if RandomProddy's pm is about something else!
6.
Well I had one and it was great fun - I especially enjoyed the tone setting "Wild Dog". Prices seem to vary a bit but it's a nice little knock about bass that would certainly complete the look of an Oasis tribute band. As a main bass it wouldn't be my first choice but if I was back in my old ways of having loads of basses it certainly is a real contender.
Yeah, prices do seem to vary wildly. I think some sellers on eBay think they have the crown jewels of basses but I do think they are an acquired taste IMO.
7. Anyone got any opinions on these as I'm tempted to buy one as I've joined an Oasis tribute band and the bassist uses one of these along with a p-bass. I already have a p-bass so if these are as nasty as they look I'll leave it well alone!
8.
Yeah, very good and all that. I can see that he is indeed quite skilled at doing wot he is doing .... but it's not bass playing to me. Give me Lynott, Foxton, Sting, Geddy, Lemmy and JJ.
true dat ^^^^^^^^^^
9. I'd be interested in some pics, of the guitar of course
10.
I have a white one Nice to play, great neck, initially awkward shape but you get used to it. You can get more bass for you money, but can you beat it for looks?
That IS a corker! sell it to me!
11. Just bought a Trace Elliot 1518 cab off Ian and wanted to say on here what a top bloke he is and how easy it was to buy from him. Cab picked up at 5pm from Scotland and with me in Leicester by 9am next day. Packaging was superb and all comms with Ian was first class. As trustworthy as they come! many thanks mate, would def buy from you again. Karl
12.
Cheers Karl but this is your feedback thread, you should probably add that to mine! You can do that here if you like: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1316155 Cheers again mate
can you tell I'm new to this pal!!!!

14.
Very Tempted, have a Bump for a very underated P Bass.these are amazing value, you can pay nearly this for a Squire
cheers for the bump. They ARE a very underrated P Bass indeed! They do have the nitro paint on them apparently which they stopped using on USA basses a long time ago.
15.
Hi, they are on the topside edge, around the belt(if worn!) area.
They are smaller than a five pence piece, not sure what happened as they were on there when I got it. Also included is the Fender gigbag.
16. [sup]I can email pics unless someone on here can tell me how to put them on here!?!?!? Do you need a hoster like photobucket or something??? Thanks.[/sup]

18. I'm looking to buy a Fender Aerodyne bass so this is up for sale. It's in flat black and has a t/shell scratchplate but I have the original white one still. It has two small dings on it but other than that it's in pretty good nick. Looking for £400, collected ideally as couriers are a pain in the arse! I'll put some pics up when I get to a pc but it's the one in my profile pic. Willing to swap/part ex for an aerodyne. Cheers.

20. I am most probably going to buy one of these! but wondered what the good people of basschat thought of them? Any good? I'm selling a Fender Highway One P-bass to fund it, should I or should I stick to what I've got? Thanks.
