I sold a Boss EQ pedal to Ash. He was great to deal with throughout the transaction. I'd highly recommend dealing with him!

Tom bought my '62 RI P Bass tortoise pickguard. The transaction was smooth and I'd highly recommend Tom!
I had owned a MIM lined fretless jazz and it did exactly what it said on the tin. I parted company with it for only £285 as it was fast becoming a furniture fixture so I reckon if you persisted in patience you could get something similar on ebay / gumtree maybe. Lot of bass for little money as the demand isnt as high as for fretted versions. I don't play a lot of fretless so I will not dwell and waffle, I am sure someone else can add plenty to this for you. Go lined fretless for the first one to find your feet on intonation; that's about the only other thing I would say.
This. I went down the exact same route before I replaced it with an unlined Warwick Corvette, and 6 years later bought the jazz back for a short period. As bassman344 said, it does what it's supposed to and they can be picked up fairly cheaply these days.

Firstly, I hope this isn't taking advantage of this section, but I've spotted something on an auction (ending at the weekend) that I [s]really really want[/s] have to buy. I have most of these parts advertised individually, but until this auction ends, I want to advertise as a discounted package. Included: Fender MIM Classic 50's Fiesta Red P Bass Body (advertised at £190 delivered) Fender RI Control Knobs (as new, worth about £10 I suppose) Mint Green '62 RI Pickguard for P Bass (advertised at £20 delivered) Thumbrest with screws (worth about £5) Neck plate with screws (worth about £10) Will also throw in a GLX Octave pedal (advertised at £20) and what I believe to be a Fender MIM bridge (no mounting screws) too. So basically you'll have a fully loaded P Bass body. Until the auction I'm interested in ends, I'll sell the lot for £155 delivered. Please take advantage of my GAS! Cheers, Paddy

Thanks for the replies. I just thought I may have done something wrong, as far some reason I had a bad feeling about putting the strings on. They're also the heaviest gauge I've ever used. Re the nut, it's the 1.75" width which I can't seem to find anywhere online. I think I'll just email a Fender supplier quoting the part number and see how I get on. Thanks again, Paddy.

So I've had a set of La Bella "1954" 0760M flats at home for a while, and finally decided to try them out last night. The first 3 strings (E, A, D) went on without a hitch. When I was tightening the G, the nut cracked! The part under the groove just popped right off I know they're high tension flats and all, but has anyone come across this before? What did I do wrong? Any guidance welcome! Also, anyone know where to buy a 1.75" P Bass nut?

Pickups from a 2009-2010 Road Worn Precision Precision Bass. Fully wired with pots, cap and jack and ready to drop into any P Bass. Labeled on the Fender spec sheet as Vintage Precision Bass® Split Single-Coil Pickup. I've read that they were the same pickups as the US Standard of the time. Maybe somebody can verify this? Asking for £50 delivered. Any questions, just ask. Thanks for looking!

*SOLD* Octave Pedal - Super Octave OC-100
pobrien_ie replied to pobrien_ie's topic in Effects For Sale
I'm open to correction here, but I think it's between the OC-2 and OC-3 in funtionality, i.e. drive funtion but not polyphonic. I bought it as a cheap OC-2 if that helps. Tracking pretty good too - handles down to C maybe even B fairly well. I think that's pretty standard for all but the highest end pedals. -

Despite a few scratches this is in perfect working order. I don't have the PSU, but I will include a small adaptor that allows you to connect the pedal to a standard (albeit 18v) Boss type connection. If you're looking at this you'll probably know what it does and the great reputation they have. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but thanks to some great advice from fellow BC'ers I really started to get on with it. No longer gigging so it's surplus to requirements. I also managed to find a PDF manual which I'll be happy to send to the buyer, or anyone else for that matter. Asking for £60 including delivery. Thanks for looking!

For sale is this Alder MIM Classic 50's P Bass body. As with a lot of bits I've been selling recently, this is coming off a project I had finished, but have decided to go at again. The bass is in great condition, with the exception of 2 tiny blemishes/marks that I will try to show later. It also now has holes for the bridge cover. Asking for £190 including posting to anywhere in the UK. Any questions, just ask. Thanks for looking!

Hi, The texture on the reverse side seems to be different, but only very slightly. I had this on a body I was working on so there are tiny marks from the washers on the reverse side too. They would be completely covered by the control knobs though.
