  1. YOLO and all that.. Ha ha Would make for a very valvey Christmas! = )
  2. Hi nick, Not really looking for bass amps simply because I'm not using them atm.. Hence the sale. What model is it? out of interest. Thanks, Stephen
  3. Hi guys, Since I've put my Bergantino NV412 up for sale here, if that was to sell, I would also reluctantly part with my SVT. These are such an amazing pair. I've used this SVT with all different cabs including the Ampeg cabs, and they were all flawed in some way. My research for the perfect cab to pair with an all tube SVT led me firmly to the NV Series. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/250847-bergantino-nv412-feeler/ This is a SML electronics St. Louis USA SVT-CL head with FlightCase. It was purchased from mark (Basschat) in Leeds from his studio and was originally owned by the Kaiser Chiefs. I've used it regularly as my main amp for years now and it has never faultered. 2 solid green lights on the back, with fantastic, loud, bass tone. Not in a rush to move this, but as with the cab, It's really not getting used anymore.. Thanks for looking! = ) Stephen
  4. Cheers guys, yeah they're really great. Not too big (slides in the car easily), not too small, and more importantly not too heavy! I bought this new from bass direct about a year ago and I have the receipt at home somewhere. I'll get afew pictures up here sometime this week when I get chance.
  5. Hello Basschat, So I could be selling an infamous 'Ampeg Killer' as they call them over on talkbass. I bought this new from mark at bass direct in June 2013. I have a bergantino nv412 here in teesside that isn't getting any use as I have recently been play synth rather than bass in the band. The cab has only ever been gigged once and used for rehearsal fewer than 10 times. The condition is immaculate and it come with a fitted/padded bergantino cover to help make sure it stays that way! This is only a feeler as these are regarded as one of the best cabs in the world and I may still find use for it with the synths. For those who are unaware, these are sealed and tweeter-less for a New Vintage vibe. Bergantino blurb: Bergantino NV412 - £1100 - Discontinued The NV412 is an exciting new addition to the Bergantino NV range. With their classic "Old School" tones in a superb high end modern sealed cabinet design with state of the art speakers and construction. This new cabinet has less high mid than the 610 but more low mid bass push. The high end is smooth and defined and the mids come through with ease. The low end is powerful yet controlled, even at very high volumes, which is part due to the sealed cabinet design. With the great combination of speed, weight and classic warmth, this is fast becoming another "must have cab" from Bergantino! This cab loves power and will thrive with large S/S or tube amps of 1000w +. Bergantino NV412 specifications: •4 x 12" woofers with vented pole pieces •power handling - 800 watts rms •frequency response: 45hz - 4.5khz •2 x 1/4" and 2 x neutrik connectors •sensitivity: 103db 1watt/1metre •impedance: 4 ohms •dimensions: 36"H x 24"W x 15"D •dimensions: 91.44cm x 61cm x 39.4cm •weight: 108lbs/49Kgs •tilt-back casters Can arrange courier if necessary Stephen
  6. 'Xotic - x blender' did it for me...
  7. I haven't tried it yet no.. Hoping to tomorrow. I've been playing it through my ashdown 115 combo (solid state) here at home and it sounds great. But when your slamming a subby square wave or sawtooth into it, it sounds like the speaker is struggling a bit. Although maybe it isn't.. I suppose that is just the nature of 'that sound' ?? Maybe tubes aren't the way to go for bass synth and I should consider purchasing another solid state head or a better PA.. Thanks for your input!
  8. Hey guys, Just a bit of quick advice for a synth newbie about amplifying my synths at rehearsals/gigs.. I have 2 synths that I need to amplify.. The first is a string emulator that lies in a guitar sort of frequency range.. This I think guess would be fine through the PA that currently only has the vocals going through it. The second is a bass synth (arturia - minibrute) that produces FAT and LOW synth bass. To amplify this I am thinking of buying an ABY pedal so I can play it through my SVT-CL and then, at the stomp of a pedal revert back to playing my P bass through the SVT. My question is.. If I do this, Is this safe? Is this the correct way to do this?? Do I need to be concerned about damaging the speakers in my bergantino nv412? Do I need to plug the synth into the '-15db' input of the SVT that is recommended for 'active basses' ? If so what ABY pedal do you recommend? Or is a Boss LS-2 the best tool for the job?? The later question is probably more suited to the 'effects' forum but I've gone here since it's a double barrelled question... Thanks in advance bass guys!
  9. Ha ha, DannyBouy.. Funny as! = )
  10. I used to max out a Fulltone bassdrive then use the x blender 50/50. That was a mega bass overdrive tone! Only moved it on coz I found an even better overdrive in 1 box. But yeah, x blenders are super cool
  11. I like single pedals.. They're addictive! Ha ha I like knowing that I'm probably the only person who's ever had this combination of pedals with a bass rig too.. That's cool.
  12. Hi gelfin, I would try contacting anyone who may be able to help at the stage.. Thanks! Stephen
  13. As it says on the tin.. a minty condition Octron2! The best analog octave pedal in the world... Probably! = )
  14. Aw, so I won't be getting that blueberry off ya in the classifieds section DannyBuoy???
  15. I just plug a tascam mic into my iphone and it plonk my phone somewhere in the room. You can angle the mics and control the gain. Works well enough for me. 1 click and ya can upload it to soundcloud to share with the band too!
