Seemed a bit steep, until I read the description. "The bass has been set up with a new set of Thomastik JF344 flat wound strings."

11k pounds sterling for a bass that is as old as I am.

Much as I respect the notion of purchasing a bass from my year of birth, I'd have to win the lottery first.  I have not appreciated in value to anything like that extent and, if I'm honest, I am resentful because I look slightly less road worn.  Heeheehee

Does anyone have any ideas as to who owned it from 1970?  Who bought it new in '62?  I'd want to know that for 11k.
