The launch went heavy in environmental factors and they calculate making them in Italy resulted in a far lower enviro impact.
No doubt helps control the IP on the new cab material too.
It it special enough to move them up from being 'affordable' to 'sharp intake of breath'? It's a bit like a Ford Mondeo becoming a 'Vignale' edition and costing the same as a BMW

Just read a spec on one of the heads, new internals and filters, ABS chassis, and made back in Italy which is surprising. Seems they have been busy future proofing the range.
-
Apparently the heads are all new too with an ABS chasis and now made back in Italy

This has just pulled up, not sure if I could do a 3 point turn however..? What do you think?

I think you may be thinking of Addicted To Love?
Also, rather than the horse’s head, it might be kinder to send you down and do three-point turns on his driveway. In the words of Mr Palmer, that would ‘make my day’😁
Re Addicted to love you may be correct, they all sound the same from that era with Mr Palmer, I was more into his earlier stuff with the Meters and Little Feet (Sneakin Sally etc). Saw him 2 or 3 times back in the day. Can't do the turns on his drive unless I nick an Ocado Van, can you give me a couple of hours to see what turns up across the road?

Punchy! North of £1k for the new range combos.
I looked on another thread at the equivalant of the CMD121P, ranges from £888 to as you say over £1k depending on mini/bigger and speaker choice

We used to have this in an old band. I'm now I'm a band with people more on my wavelength and the number of times I've said "I can't stand this song, but I'll do it" and I end up either enjoying an aspect of playing it or recognising the audience enjoys it, that's enough for me. It's when people refuse without trying because they don't like it, don't know it, didn't like the video, their brother had it on vinyl and wouldn't let them listen to it... Or best yet my old drummer "NOBODY KNOWS THIS SONG!!" For Bad Case of Loving You by Robert Palmer. The people at the Grammy Awards who voted it best rock vocal of 1979 knew it.l, so I'd be willing to bet a fiver an average pub crowd might be able to hum the chorus.
Suspect many will remember the MTV video that broke it?

Well I haven’t mentioned the band name, my screen name isn’t my real name and the guy in question doesn’t have a mobile let alone a smartphone. So the risk is worth it for the collective wisdom of my fellow forumites.
Anyhow, seems like I will be saying this to his face shortly if I go with the majority. I appreciate every post by the way, as a problem shared is a problem halved!
So you want me to go ahead with the horses head?

Walnut and 8 tuners, no mention of the weight....

Give me his address, I'll arrange a horse's head on his Emma Matress....
He sounds an egotistical tool.

LIke you say the mini is smaller and lighter so possibly you may lose some bottom end and maybe the mini is a little cheaper? Not familiar with the new lineup but there are now a confusing number of options!
Just had a look at the prices, WOW these have all gone up a couple of hundred pounds over the ones they replace....

To the seller: "Why are you asking £200 for that £100 bass?".
Cos 'it still has all the stickers on'?
-
Not exactly selling it "set up as best as possible' and 'plays OK for its age'.!
I like the invoice '2 guitar leads £9.80', you could probably pay the same now for 2.

Didn't he just have a naturally deep voice (plus booze and fags)?

Interesting use of backgrounds for the photo, wonder if it on plain white paper might have looked better?

I cant remember the model number or whatever but it had metallic bronze paint and I think twin carbs or something like. Maybe a 1300 model or something
I just remembered I got it from a friend who gave it to me. I feel better now!
I did know a guy who had an Allegro coupe and had far more value of spare parts put in it than it was worth as new.
Lucky for him he had a friend who worked in the spares department of the local agency.
Allegro Coupe? Do you mean a 2 door one?

You may like to insert this post into Paul's feedback, maybe a Mod can help?

People do pay crazy money for old crap. Just look at the value of Austin Allegro's, up to £10k for a really tidy one and they were terrible cars.
Yes, but the early ones did have the Quartic steering wheel....

I expect he'll post something within 24 hours?

I played along with one guy and he had said his address was in Coventry. After the usual, I said oh, I have just found out I'm coming down to Coventry next week. If you give me your address I will drop it off to you. He immediately left the conversation.
You could say he sent you to Coventry..?

Interesting back story, I have personal experience of a 72 that had been similarly modified! GLWTS
