  1. ***PRICE NOW £650***
It is with regret that I must let go my Jazz Bass Deluxe but I must thin the herd and gather funds for a new car :(
It is an american model built in 1997 and the specs are as follows -

Body - Alder (with a cap on the front of Ash if I remember correctly)
Colour - Shoreline gold with pearlescent scratch plate
Hardware - Silver Tuners and Bridge (Notched to allow string spacing adjustment)
Neck - Maple with Rosewood fingerboard
Electronics - John Shur designed pickups and 9v preamp - loads of room for tone shaping with amazing bass and mid control.
Condition - excellent, no dings or damage with a lovely medium low action.

There are some additional features to the bass - The option to string through the body or directly from the bridge (as I have done); 22 Frets on the neck; single pole piece pickups; The body is slightly smaller than the standard jazz bass; Bass come with a fitted Fender hardcase!! All these add to a fantastic package from Fender. If you're looking for an active jazz bass this is both an amazing all-rounder and at an affordable price!!!

This bass is a fantastic player and has recently had a fret dress and setup with new Fender steels strings 100 - 45.

I'm not really interested in trades as I have most of the basses I need right now and I need the funds. I'm only really hankering after a Sandberg PJ but nothing else!!
Price includes shipping. Payment should be by bank transfer though I can accept Paypal if preferred. Sales within the UK are also preferred but I will consider shipping to Europe at buyers cost.

    Thanks for looking :)

  2. Jenzuwin, I've now had 3 Shukers built from scratch and each has been of superb sound, playability and build quality. IMO Jon is one of the best luthiers around and deserves to be recognised as such.
I'd say get a spec together and speak to Jon about what you want. He is highly knowledgeable and will be able to guide you with your choices.
Depending on the complexity, they can take a while to be completed but they are worth the wait.
Post your spec if you go for a custom bass.
(I recently had a custom set neck Jazz built by Jon. There's a build diary on this part of the forum if you wanted to check it out.)

    Cheers, T

  3. Shizznit, they're both Buck-eye Burl...I totally agree. If I hadn't needed to sell the Elite, it would still be with me!
The Jazz makes up for the loss in more ways than one :)
Your Uberhorn looks great...I remember watching it unfold on the build diary. The reverse headstock looks interesting. Did you decide to do it for the string tension?

  4. Hey guys,

Here are a few of my Shukers, a Jazz (2013) and an SC (2011)

  5. Sorry for the delay in updating the thread. The bass finally arrived in mid December and it has taken me this long to put it down and get to a keyboard.
Here are a few pictures and there are more pictures with a full review of the bass on my blog
    (http://tiernangodel.co.uk/shuker-jazz-bass/)
It is another stunning example of Mr Shukers workmanship and it plays fantastically!!

  6. So...I just had a chat with Jon and it looks like I should receive the bass by Thursday this week :)
Here's a cheeky picture he sent as a taster and to check some final details.

If I said I am excited it's probably an understatement in the extreme!!
