I recommend the VT Bass pedal, sounds great through a PA. Or find a cheaper studio - which one are you using?
-
I'm sure you could re-work that and fit it all on a little better. I'm re-doing my Jr at the mo, it's a bit of an art form!
-
You still haven't told us where you are mate - update your profile and it'll be displayed under your avatar.
'Not near Stoke' is a good start though, as neither am I! -
Cheers, that's the one. They're pretty cheap so I'll order a few as I'm bound to c0ck up the drilling part!
In fact, RS do the 1590A for £4.19, I prefer the more rounded look to the Eddystone one on Maplin. -
Does anyone know where I can get hold of some tiny enclosures such as those used by Catalinbread? I want to build a little bypass loop box out of one. These are the kind I'm talking about:
-
Either use shorter screws and flip the bottom plate over to save gunking up the bottom face, or make a spacer plate to replace the rubber feet. Someone over a Talkbass did this by making a wedge plate out of floppy disks, attaching Velcro to that and screwing it to the bottom of the wah.

Shouldn't it be BFB for Bare Faced Bass?
-
Not really worth touching Thomann at the moment with the current Pound <-> Euro conversion rates!
-
I would MUCH prefer a vertical 2x12". The only reason you see so many diagonally arranged cabs is so that the form factor can match a 4x10 or 1x15 for stacking them. If it's a standalone cab, a vertical arrangement would take up less floor space and have better dispersion. You also wanna use the Eminence 3012 speakers which supposedly kick a$$, I'm looking forward to see what Mr Claber pulls of with those!

With X-Gear, can you use the stomps from the other Amplitube series? Like the fuzz face, big muff etc... I've got the old version but haven't updated yet, I will have to look into it.
-
How dare you tempt us with pics of Blueberries and Anglers, Squeezers and Space Stations and not be selling them!
-
I too was interested in the SG if it was cherry red with a set neck in London or Cambs (and cheap). Nancy - if you don't want it for guitar then what on earth do you plan on doing with it?!
-
Duuuude... I wish I had the readies to grab that Wilson and the Analogman. Some great pedals you're pimping here.
-
Unless you must have a rack tuner, just get a decent tuner pedal like the Korg Pitchblack. That's my mute switch!
-
Where about are you?
-
I'll have the true bypass loop! PM'd

The text looked like 'Red Snapper' to me, so did a quick search at Discofreq's FX site and found this!

Toasted, you missed out on the Supercollider I had for sale - that would have been perfect in a Sabbath style band. It's like a Muff on steroids with plenty of mids!
-
It's still a fair price mate - plenty have sold for £400 or more, and that's without the bag. Their desirability keeps the second hand prices afloat!
-
The 121H has a far superior tweeter to the one in the 121P, plus the taller box means more low end too!
-
Bargain! I've just got me a Markbass combo so I'm out of the amp market for the time being, but out of interest what 15" have you gone for?
This would go great with an Ashdown LG350 as a cheap lightweight rig, as you'd get the full 350W out of the head with a 4-ohm cab.... -
I use the Johnnyshredfreak also, I can't detect any extra noise, it's cheap and has never let me down. I've got it velcro'd snugly under my Pedaltrain!
-
A few months down the line I could be interested in something like this, but I've bought so much stuff lately I need to stop!
-
These are meant to sound just like an old Rickenbacker. I'd bite your arm off if I hadn't just bought a new amp!
What should I do for practice rooms?

I wouldn't bother with putting a DI across the speaker outputs unless you're trying to capture the sound of power tubes. As far as I know, the Walkabout has a solid state power section, so the post-EQ DI output should sound the same as if you'd hooked up a DI to the speaker outputs. Also, if you ever try doing that, make sure you have a cab in paralell with the DI to soak up the power, or will fry it.
