1. Fairly rare US built late 70's transistor amp. 100 Watts RMS. Acoustic Model 125. Very cool clean sound. Cosmetic condition a little rough.

I do not have the footswitch for the amp - so I have never been able to access the distortion channel. I have the wiring diagram to build a footswitch but have never got around to building one.

    Some info about the amp

Price reduction - as I'd like this to go to a good home

Looking at £100 collected from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

    Any questions please pm me.

  2. Hi,

Yamaha SY35 synth for sale. Good condition and functioning normally - except some sticky keys (needs key springs replacing or bending back into shape - not a hard or expensive job but a touch tedious). Bargain price £60 collected from sunny West Yorkshire. I'm selling because I have to many keyboards in the house.

Blurb about SY35 as follows :-

''The Yamaha SY35 is a bit unique in that it is a Vector Synthesis system, combining FM and AWM sample playback voices to create sounds suitable for virtually all kinds of music. It features significantly expanded memory capabilities over the SY-22. It has an extremely large database of over 128 AWM sampled sounds (you cannot add more) and around 256 FM waves. Waves and samples are combined and edited with a roller/joystick (the vector wheel). At a time when Yamaha was making the switch from FM synthesis, which ruled their synths of the eighties, to AWM and AWM2 synthesis in the nineties, the SY-35 represents a model that was on the cusp, having one foot (or pair of oscillators actually) in each world.

Programming is an extremely tedious affair, as all values are modified via the "-1" and "+1" buttons. But the SY-35's sounds are extremely good, providing high-quality sounds such as those found on the Alpha Juno 2, and the DX-7. The synth also features an 8-part multi-mode, for easy multitimbral setups. Ultimately, while an extremely difficult synth to program, the SY35 offers a huge amount of capability for a relatively low price tag. Use this synth for epic pads, deep basses, screaming leads, and raging hoovers.''

I'd argue the programming bit - its pretty easy if your familiar with basic synth techniques - I'll also include the manual. In addition to the blurb above the acoustic pianos aren't bad (when sitting in a mix), the electric pianos are very DX like, the organs very useable and the strings are excellent.

I purchased the keyboard new from Andertons around 15 months ago and it is in excellent, un-marked condition and full working order. I have played it at home it has never once missed a beat . It is highly portable, looks very neat, is packed with a multitude of brilliant sounds and is extemely flexible and re-programable.

  6. Hi Folks,

In my new year clearout I have unearthed 4 x speaker poles. These are not stands, but spaces between bins and tops. Standard top hat size.

Free to whoever wants to collect them. A small donation to basschat would be a good thing.

    Cheers

  7.
I used to work on the History of Rock! 1981 to 1984 so you are nearly right.

Who these days would publish a partwork that took three years to complete? We had Charles Shaar Murray and all queueing up to write for it!
Excellent. Its a small world isn't it ? Its worth a read to be sure.

Very good point. I live in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. I will of course travel within reason to deliver.

  9. Hi,

I have a Futurama Strat that I brought from Music Ground in Leeds (for £90) a couple of years ago. At the time the shop was full of them and they claimed to own the brand name...if thats any use to anyone. The Strats not a bad instrument except for very poor electronics.

  10. Hi Folks,

I'm selling various bits and bobs on ebay at the moment including 2 Ibanez Musician basses, 1 x Ibanez Roadstar electric , 1xIbanez studio electric and an emu vintage keys synth module.

I'm obviously happy to give basschatters a good deal.
