  1. Now reduced to £250. Willing to courier at cost. I’m moving on this very nice Precision Bass of unknown origin as I have another one on the way. I’ve had this 3 or 4 years myself and has been used both live and in the studio. Currently fitted with flats. It has a lovely sunburst finish and a very nice Maple neck but with no branding. Frets are good with very little wear. I have no idea of it’s origin but I bought it from an old guy who said it’d been under his bed for many years (yes, that old chestnut). It’s decent enough hardware, the chunky bridge and tuners have nicely rounded edges. The pick up pole pieces are proud of the covers. There is a serial number sticker 81 6305 (see pic: 81 in slightly less bold character than the 6305). Neck plate stamped Made In Japan. Who knows, maybe an old Jap copy or someone’s tried to pass it off as one? But anyway, it plays great, sounds great and looks the part. Another slightly odd thing is the black of the sunburst covers the whole chamfered area of the body on that corner which I haven’t seen on other sunburst Precision’s. Scratch plate has an older looking tort design to it. Not asking a fortune for this so It’s all subjective. It does have the odd little ding or blemish, a slight craze to varnish above tug bar holes which Ive only just noticed after 4 yrs but generally very tidy 8/10. Can pack well, box and courier included in price of £300.
  2. Great communication and quick payment. Many thanks.
  3. Price drop to £250. Willing to courier at cost. Hi all, for sale is my Korean Squier with serial number S975287 which dates it as Samick factory, 1989. It's a nicely yellowed white and looks more yellow than in the photos. It has been great both live and in the studio and the pick ups, which look original, have a high output compared to other similar basses I have. It weighs 4kg or 8.8lbs. Licensed by Schaller tuners, skunk stripe and some natural chips and scuffs as you'd expect from a used bass nearly 30 years old. You will notice the control plate is a slightly different shape than most Jazz basses. On some notes you can feel a slight buzz from the truss rod but it doesn't affect the playing, sound or recording of the instrument. It feels great and is very easy to play and has a great retro vibe. Not the original scratch plate. I love it but have other basses incoming and have to thin the herd. I will throw in a second hand case and will courier if needed at cost. Collection from Poole/Bournemouth area or a meet up. Thanks. Korea KC and KV serial number prefixes are usually used on Crafted in Korea Squiers. S/E: The S and E serial number prefix Korean Squiers are from the late 1980s/early 1990s. S = Samick, E = Young Chang, E letter serial numbers were used on Young Chang's Fenix brand guitars.[6] The first number following the serial number prefix is the year. The first guitars made in Korea are those with serial number written in silver E10 +5 digits (note 1 extra digit) possibly as early as 1986 For example, "E7 +5 digits with silver serial = made by Young Chang in 1987-88. "S9" = made by Samick in 1989. "E0" = made by Sung-Eum in 1990. "E1" (+5 digits) with black serial = made by Sung-Eum in 1991. There were also Korean Squier serials with no serial number prefix and 6 or 7 numbers and the first number is the year. Some late 80's and early 90's examples held a serial number with the prefix M followed by 7 numerals, although there is much that is not known about these guitars and their exact date of manufacture as Squier were undergoing a 'transitional' period at this time making precise dating difficult. They featured a high gloss maple neck with both rosewood and maple fretboard options and a slimmer 40mm body.
  4. TC Electronic BC410 Bass cab, 500watt, 4 ohm version. Its a bit cosmetically challenged but all working fine and a great powerful, lightweight cab with 4 castors added for ease of use. Spare cab surplus to requirements. Marks and scuffs to Tolex, particularly on one side but doesn't affect performance. No grill badge. Collection from Poole/Bournemouth area preferred but possible courier at cost or meet up. Thanks.

Metal casing shows signs of use but all in good working order. . PAT tested. Any try out welcome. Collection from Poole/ Bournemouth area or can courier at cost. Thanks.
  6. thanks for that, i had read that and will give it a try.
  7. Do you want a cheap mutha of an all Valve bass head? I have a Bugera BVV3000 300 watt Valve Head, basically an Ampeg SVT clone, weighs an absolute ton but 300watt of 6 x 6550's plus 5 pre amp 12ax/au's. I bought it from Bugera (Music Group in UK) September last year as an 'as new' refurbished item with 3 year warranty. They only made a few of them generally and I'm guessing it was returned to base and resold with 3 years manufacturers warranty. As you can imagine, I was sceptical of these as being a Chinese Ampeg so basically soak tested it for a few days in my garage, running it for a few hours then going and trying it, putting back to standby and leaving for a while and repeating. No problems. So decided to try it out on a decent size gig which it did faultlessly, reminded me of my old Ampeg V4 days. Then I did another gig and again it was awesome. If you look them up, they caused quite a stir about 3 years ago when they came out and were selling around £450 mark. They have the 'Infinium' self biasing valve system for longer valve life, quite a neat thing, you can see the indicator lights flashing on the back as they tweak the valves. Only thing I'd say is that the 'voicing' selector makes minimal difference to my ears, you may think differently. I'd happily keep it if I wasn't buying an Ashdown CTM but don't want 2 heavy fellas knocking around. Something to bear in mind is it runs into 4 or 2 ohms. This is silly money for what you get but beware, it's heavier than most cabs!! I will not post this, too risky so it'll be collection from Poole or a meet up in a dodgy services on a dark night. Manufacturers blurb: Bugera BVV3000 Infinium Valve Bass Amp Head The BVV3000 is so much more than just raw power. The all-tube preamp provides tremendous tone-shaping control. Sure, you get the standard boost/cut capability from the BASS (centred at 40Hz) and TREBLE (4kHz) knobs, but the real "voice" of your bass is defined by its midrange content. BVV3000's 5 position FREQUENCY selector lets you choose the centre frequency that best suits your playing style, or the one that brings out your instruments true personality. Just select from 220Hz, 450Hz, 800Hz, 1.6kHz and 3.0kHz and turn the MIDRANGE knob to boost or cut by as much as 15dB and that's a lot! And if you want even more tone-sculpting options, engage the ULTRA-LOW switch for an additional +2dB boost @ 40Hz, or the ULTRA-HIGH switch for a soaring top-end boost of +9dB @ 8kHz. Balanced XLR DI for direct connection to your mixing console Slave Output to connect with additional amplifiers Preamp Out and Power Amp In connectors allow you a signal tap from the preamp section and a direct access to the power amp for even greater versatility 3 speaker outputs: two 1/4" jacks and a professional speaker connector (compatible with Neutrik Speakon) Impedance switch (2 and 4 Ωs) to match virtually any speaker cabinet High-quality components and exceptionally rugged construction ensure long life Bugera BVV3000 Infinium Valve Bass Amp Head Hand-built 300 Watt bass amplifier head driven by 6 x 6550 valves300 Vintage design from the '60s featuring 3 x 12AX7 and 2 x 12AU7 valves for harmonically rich and vibrant valve sound Revolutionary INFINIUM Valve Life Multiplier technology: Extends the life of your amplifier's expensive power valves up to 20 times Voicing selector provides you with 5 classic sound variations to suit your playing style Dedicated Bass, Mid and Treble controls and High/Low switches for ultimate sound shaping Pat bugera1

  11. I've just bought one off eBay from music group Europe advertised at £410. Factory refurbished sold as new with 3 year warranty. I was dubious like everyone else but I thought at the price I'd give it a go. Actually I made a best offer and got it cheaper. I guess it's been bought before and gone back for repair but it looks like new. Bought on Sunday, arrived yesterday (weds) and I've had it running all afternoon going back periodically after leaving it on standby to check it out. Absolutely no problems so far and it sounds awesome. Haven't had this much fun since having a V4 and 2x15 in the '80's. I'm running it into 2 8ohm cabs as the speaker outputs are selectable 2 or 4 ohms. Glad I pressed the button on this one because if it turns ok it's the bargain of the century. But I'll keep you posted. I'm gonna look for a 4 ohm 4x10 cab so I can use it more practically rather than humping 2 cabs around. Can't wait for a big gig to really crank it up.
  12. It allows you to balance the output vol, a common mod. Thanks.
  13. Kinsman pedal case, EHX Big Muff Pi and Digital Delay still available. Thanks.
