1. Received my Yamaha TRB6 Series I from Matt today. A gorgous instrument at a great price, and Matt was a pleasure to deal with all the way. Honest and prompt communication and friendly all the way. The bass was very well packaged and was just as Matt had described it. Even threw in a couple of freebies! So thanks for a great bass and a very pleasant and easy transaction, Matt! Maybe we'll do business again in the future, who knows? ;-) Good luck with your band and recording work! Cheers, Jon
2. Looking forward to it, Matt! I've owned one of these before, but it was beat up and had a lot of bruising, so when I was offered a good price I sold it. But have missed it.... so looking forward to getting a nicer and better looking version of it back! Nice doing business with you, Matt! Good luck with your projects! Cheers, Jon
3. Oh, and me too!!!! Good luck to us both, in fact! I think you'll find yourself 99.5% in luck already. *hehe* Just theoretical issues lacking for the final closure.
4. Oooooo what a price! This happens to be the one bass that got away. I need to check my finances, I'm in the market for a 6-string... but was planning on spending a little more time. But I loved my old Yamaha TRB-6 and still miss it from time to time. Any issues with this one? And... I'm in Norway... :-/ Don't know how or if shipping could be arranged... if we went further with a possible deal?
5. I'm considering selling my Manne XLR Basic 5-string. The bass is in new condition, with no big dents or marks or apparent wear. This bass has a piezo bridge, a multi-laminate neck with F-resin fingerboard. Very stable and hard. The body is ash, and is in a gorgous redburst finish. The Manne electronics is pretty special, with a dual coil in the bridge position, a single coil in the neck position, and a piezo bridge. there's a 5-way pickup switch, which allows you to select dual coil bridge / single coil bridge / dual coil bridge + neck / single coil bridge + neck / neck solo. There's also a balance control to let you blend between magnetic and piezo pickups. There's a master volume and a passive tone control. There's also a preset blend setting that you can activate by pulling the tone control up. Very useful electronics! There's also a built-in DI box in this bass, so it has two outputs, an ordinary jack and an XLR connector. The bridge is a unique design on this bass. There's a cavity underneath the bridge, and on top of that is a "tone tounge" made of the same resin material as the fingerboard. The bridge itself is one piece made of the same material, with small metal saddles for the strings. There's a piezo bar running the full length of the strings inside the one-piece bridge. The intonation is set by adjusting the bridge back and forth, and the action is controlled at the heel of the neck (there are adjustment screws just like on the early Fenders). The design makes this bass really sound wonderful when soloing the piezo. A very acoustic and clean sound. This is the same bridge design as on the Manne Acoustibass, I think. Note also that the neck is very stable, so you don't have to adjust the action a lot on this bass. This bass plays like butter and sounds like thunder. Real Italian race horse! I'm selling this cause I'm thinning the herd (I've got 20+ basses at the moment) and I'm turning more and more towards 6-strings. The bass is in Norway for the time being, but get in touch and we'll look at ways of shipping.
6. *lol* The table cloth is priceless! elros, depends... with some cash in between, then maybe? would definitely save us a lot on shipping *hehe* Shoot me a PM (on gitarnorge, maybe?).
7. Noone interested in a great 6-string???
8. Hello there, mrcrow!!! How ya doin', mate? You on the lookout for a 6???*chuckles*
9. I'm considering parting with my Matt Pulcinella Guitars Level 6. It's got a beautiful quilted maple top on a swamp ash body, with a beautiful blue finish. The photos doesn't really do it justice! The bolt-on neck is one-piece maple with a pau ferro fingerboard. Bartolini mics with a three-band Bartolini preamp. There's a coil switch for each mic. Scale length 35". The measurements are very close to a Yamaha TRB6 neck, but slimmer (back to front). The design of the bass makes it balance extremely well, and it's got low action and a beautiful sound. Matt's own photos from his web site: My pictures The bass has an incredible top, and the brightest photos show it off the best. For a review of this exact bass, visit talkbass and read this one: http://www.talkbass.com/reviews/showproduc...uct/1008/cat/13 Price: US$1500 (cause the currency rates are currently going all over the place, so we'll figure out the £ price when we agree). I'm based in Norway, so there will be some shipping expenses, covered by the buyer. >>> Bass is sold (part traded)
10. An update on the Vintage Icon Jaco fretless bass! It arrived today, and everything is just as Garry described. The shipping company managed to screw up the shipping, though, but Garry sorted it out with them and had them ship it Express to me. So not only is he a great seller, he'll also follow-up on things if there are trouble.
11. A pleasant transaction on the Vintage Icon Series Jaco fretless so far. Prompt communication and good information. Looking forward to receiving the bass!
