I've had one or two issues with a few couriers
Once, a passing stranger knocked on my door to say he'd picked up a small parcel with my address on it....
It was lying in the gutter some 60 or 70 yards from my house, and some kid had kicked it across the road!
It wasn't bass or music-related gear, but it was fairly delicate. Fortunately, it had been really well packed
My front garden / drive is 20 feet long - Had the courier just left it on the pavement? Grrr

Maddening. The thing that rankles is I had an email from the supplier the day before stating that ‘safe place’ delivery was not an option, and a signature was required because of the value of the item (nearly a grand). As I knew I was unlikely to be at home I logged in via the DPD app and changed the delivery to my neighbour, which was duly confirmed by email. I got the alert with the one-hour delivery window, and got another alert saying it had been delivered, complete of a photograph of the box, left sitting on my doorstep! Needless to say, no signature was obtained. I did consider whether I could just say I didn’t receive it as it wasn’t signed for, but I’m too honest... 

Royal Mail are buggers for delivering their own 'signed for' packets without even trying to get a signature too.  They clearly set the bar for how other firms behave in our country.
