Unfortunately, I think the main clue is right there in the main post. If you lend out a rig where the amp is WAY too powerful for the cab, then you really are asking for trouble.

I'd go for the Roland 120XL Cube in the F/S Section.

I think some people just love to see their opinion out there as if it is fact. Remember, we are in the realms of Youtube and similar with the constant assertions that Cliff Burton is 'best'...no, it's Victor Wootten... no, it's Jaco....no, it's James Jamerson, with all of it stated as if it is undisputed fact. I like to think Basschatters are a lot more open minded.

Spotted both these Pumas on the F/S page. They are like buses - you hang around for ages then 2 turn up together. Unfortunately I was stood at the bus stop but didn't have the fare!

Cheap Schroeder 2x12s in the F/S section are small and light but pack a mighty punch.

As with the advice above, it sounds like the guitars are hogging your frequencies. They need to EQ.

Line 6 LD15 is a good little practice amp. Plenty loud and jam packed with features. Has an input for MP3 player or whatever for you to play along with (through headphones if you like). Plenty of tones and effects on board and well under £100.

I used to play in a band which did mostly originals but some covers. We used to do It's Not Unusual by Tom Jones as a ska song and it was a proper laugh. The punters absolutely loved it.

I have the same type of setup you're talking about. I have the envelope filter (3 Leaf) first, TC Nova compressor next, MXR Octaver next and a MarkBass Booster at the end. Seems to work pretty well.

Trace Elliot GP12SMX head for sale. Green 'carpet' finish. 12 band EQ, 2 pre shape filters, high and low compression, valve/solid state blend control and DI out socket . Widely regarded as one of the best amps Trace ever made, this thing has bags of power and sounds fantastic if you like a warm, fat tone. Not really fussed about selling, but this amp is way too good to be sat around as a back up. £275 plus shipping.

Genz Streamliner won't sound 'thin' and are cheap as chips now.
