Seems that circuit diagram is for the Terror 500 mk 1 do you have the diagram for the Terror mk2?
Not to hand but I recently got a mk2 and the DI out is definitely affected by the master volume

Orange Terror. The DI level is affected by the gain setting but not master volume.
In my experience this is how most amps work, with DI taken between preamp and power amp.
Version 1 is affected by the gain only but the newer versions are affected by both

Only way to find out is by playing with him
not like that

Pre/Post switch for the XLR Out?
I could only see a ground lift button

Just got a replacement for my original Terror Bass 500 (my son destroyed that one by putting ice cream on top of it...)
and I noticed the volume control now affects the DI out signal as well as the gain, where the older models only used the gain.
Is that a deliberate change or is mine goosed? I used to be able to record with my old model having the volume turned down to zero, effectively using it as a pre-amp box and now I need to have the cab blasting out to record a decent signal.
I'm not gigging at the moment but I can see it causing trouble for some poor sound guy too at some point 😀

Bet that came to a sticky end
A really sticky, crackly broken end.
And my amp doesn't work anymore either

Does a toddler leaving chocolate ice cream on top of my vented amp head count as equipment failure?

I rarely get to play since my son was born and when I do get the chance to do some recordings for friends I feel like I've lost so much knowledge and ability.
I can remember the fundamentals but my technique feels sloppy and my fingers are tripping over themselves, and I really struggle to "hear" what I want to play when it used to come easily to me.
Use it or lose it I suppose

I learned both styles when I first started playing, I didn't see much reason to only pick one or the other.
Fingerstyle is much more satisfying for me though

Speaking of amateurs, apologies for the multiple posts! 😂🙄
Would you suggest he try to find his own sound perhaps?

I played with a guitarist once who stopped the song and asked for lights up so he could change a broken string, that was excruciating

I usually find Bandmix very frustrating for how few people bother to write a proper (or any) profile or include any photos or music.
And even more annoyingly, many, if not most, don't even bother to edit out the instruments they're not looking for. Hence ads often read:
Seeking:Accordion, Acoustic Guitar, Background Singer, Bagpipes, Banjo, Bass Guitar, Cello, Clarinet, DJ, Dobro, Drums, Electronic Music, Fiddle, Flute, Harmonica, Harp, Keyboard, Lead Guitar, Mandolin, Other, Other Percussion, Piano, Rhythm Guitar, Saxophone, Steel guitar, Trombone, Trumpet, Ukulele, Upright bass, Violin, Vocalist, Vocalist - Alto, Vocalist - Baritone, Vocalist - Bass, Vocalist - Soprano, Vocalist - Tenor.
Seeking: Entire A1 orchestra, no time wasters

I strongly suspect the above to be true 🙂
I've considered trying out but unfortunately I'm only an A2 bass player, or maybe a B1 though I'm not sure how his scoring system works

Yeah, the same ad for years. I always thought if he was as amazing as he makes out he would have been snapped up years ago. He's posted 346 ads so far!
I'm imagining James Brown levels of perfection demanded from the poor sods that give it a go, or he's just a bit of an A1 pain in the derrière to work with

Yeah, he told us he had a Britney style headset mic so he can do lead vocal on one or two songs...
What a mistake we made passing him up....
Sounds just like my brother, used to be very keen on using his Britney mic and singing and not so keen on less important things like learning the songs
He had glow in the dark sticks too
Drummers 🤔

Mate..... I auditioned a drummer who ended the night by kicking the room door closed as we were leaving, turning out the lights and getting out his glow in the dark drum sticks. In a break he had already told us he wants the stage set up with drum kit at the front and us behind him. He hadn't remotely got the gig even before that comment.
And you didn't immediately hire him after that? Why ever not 😂
See Jakester you have nothing to worry about, at least you didn't inflict a near fatal dose of cringe on them like Mr. Glowsticks

True dat, exactly my recent experieince:
'It's in the 2nd, 3rd and maybe 4th session that you see people get comfortable and show their bad habits like not learning songs, suggesting Katy Perry songs (for your 80s covers band!!!), wanting to play other instruments, wanting to bring their mates in, all the daydreams coming out when really you just want to get a good handful of songs'
"Daydreams" is spot on
