Is that not the sign of a great gig where the adrenelin is still running when you get home. I'm always like that. Have to wind down with a coffee and biccy when i get home no matter what time it is.

Yeah, it was only a 15 minute drive home last night, usually longer so have the adrenaline come down in the car.

Last night I literally spent hours in bed, not falling asleep - wide awake and ended up with a headache and was just really hot, couldn't shake the heat; like I was still at the gig. I ended up taking paracetamol for my head, which probably lowered my temperature as well.

  2. In stark contrast to last weekend, last night was excellent.

Back to the usual line up, whole band playing really well and lots of dancers for most of the night which was impressive given how hot and humid the venue was.

May have got a wedding booking out of it too, so overall a really good night.

On the downside, I found when I got home I simply couldn't sleep, barely slept at all, so pretty exhausted today.

  3. Mudvayne had their first reunion shows last night and their bassist Ryan Martinie who's been synonymous with a Warwick Thumb for pretty much all his career has switched over to Fodera. The Warwick Facebook groups are aghast.

Clearly inspired by a Thumb, based on the pickup placement, but some Yin-Yang influence there too.

Personally I don't love the pickguard, but it looks like a great instrument and he must be very happy with it if he's moved away from Warwick after all these years. On what little, low quality footage I found, it just sounded like Ryan, but I'm eager to hear a proper recording.

I always refused to do things unless they were rehearsed to the hilt. My mate the guitarist was always wanting to play new songs after one rehearsal but I am the bass player and singer so I had to learn two parts and then put them together. Not as easy as just learning the guitar part. We used to argue and on the few occasions when I gave in, we always mucked up. I had to almost fall out with him to stop us doing songs sometimes.

We very rarely rehearse, we know each other's playing well enough that there's normally little need and can normally debut a song and it's pretty much there.

We've also had a lot of deps and know how to work with them, it's usually they're better prepared than last night
