That's true - our rehearsal room is pretty small. It could be part of the problem.
 -
I'd have to play a gig before I'd be saving venue specific patches! We're still rehearsing.
 -
Yep, I find the GT1-B next to impossible tweak on the fly. Even at home with no pressure I can't get on with multiple presses of the same button to change parameters. I'm stuck with it though, as I have already maxed out my cab budget and won't be spending anything until I actually earn something from playing! I'm not holding my breath.

Great ideas, thanks. I use a laptop to tweak the parameters of the different effects in a patch fairly efficiently, so that's a possibility when I've nutted it out at gig volume.
 -
That sounds like an amazing bargain. I'd have taken that over my Eden cab at £170.

Hi Everyone, I'm hoping to gain some insight into dialling in heavily affected tones in a full band situation. I'm in a new band trying to emulate lots of 80s synth basslines. I'm doing it all on the cheap and only using my Boss GT1-B and an ancient Zoom 506II (!). I've watched a lot of videos and read a ton of pages about getting synth sounds and I've made a range of patches which sound pretty good at home. I'll typically use the single octave down into a fuzz then an envelope, sometimes with a modulation of some sort after all of that - depending on the goal tone that I'm aiming for. When I get into the rehearsal room it's all completely different and the sounds aren't what I thought they'd be - sometimes the bottom is missing, the fuzz is too much or it just doesn't sound very appealing. I've only ever used octaves and envelopes before with any regularity so I'm not really sure of concepts or rules to follow when trying to set up heavily affected tones. What do you advise? How should I try to set up patches so I can get closer to a gig friendly tone?

You might like this then (pretty sure it's last century!).

The ‘What Was the Last Song You Played’ Thread

Shotgun, George Ezra, with the staff band at my school at Venue Cymru in Llandudno for our Year 11 celebration night. Got a great reception and I'm now the 'master of the bass' because I managed to play it (it's very simple)! Fender Jazz Deluxe into an Ashdown Rm800 through an Eden Ex112. -
Sounds good so far. I have a rehearsal tomorrow so I'll try it out with a full band.
 -
New cab to go with the RM800.

This is posted in the wrong topic! Damned Friday night drinks!

Very true! I haven't left any feedback yet. I'm annoyed that the seller took so long to do anything - he was adamant that the cab was in a depot near me with no evidence of that. And then the accusation. There was some weird crackling in the cab when I first plugged it in. I did wonder if the fraud allegation was a ruse to stop me trying to send it back if it was broken, but I've been playing it with no trouble since then.
 -
True, it can be quite straightforward!
 -
Since I added the tracking screenshot, radio silence has been maintained.
 -
I agree, and was fairly well taken back by it. The tracking info stopped working after a few days but when I checked it now it shows the cab being delivered today.
 -
That I'm lying about when it arrived and that they have information from the courier that it was delivered earlier than when I said it was.
 -
So, my cab finally turned up. Now I'm being accused of attempted fraud!
 -
	Fantastic, thanks.
 -
I've actually just assumed he packaged it! I thought couriers would refuse to carry it if it wasn't packaged appropriately. He's sold a ton of stuff, some guitar gear and hi-fi stuff, so I had thought it would be well packed.
 -
Fair enough, and I'm happy for it to turn up. He's just been either dismissive or inactive. Freight was organised through a 3rd party (parcel 2go or something similar) so I imagine it would be fairly simple to sort out. I don't really understand how there can be no further tracking information.
 -
I agree,no suppose I'd like him to be more proactive. He was really reluctant to even entertain the idea that it wasn't at my end. He has insurance, so I'm not sure why it isn't more straightforward.
 -
Thanks. I have started that process, and they won't get involved until after his 'end of the week's timeframe. So I suppose I can't do much anyway.

I was looking for a cheap (but quality) cab and an Eden D210 MBX turned up on eBay. The Seller sent an offer and, as it included postage, I bought it. This was on Sunday 9th of June. The seller posted it on the 12th and sent a tracking number. It took a while to get picked up and then said it had left the hub and nothing else happened. It was due to be delivered on the 13th. It was never delivered and Parcelforce told me it had been delivered to Royal Mail and that they had no more information about it. I contacted the seller and told them and they attempted to push back, telling me it must be in my local depot and I needed to arrange to pick it up. I sent the seller the chat contents to confirm what Parcelforce told me and he seemed to come around, but he has been really slow to acknowledge that I'm not likely to be getting it. He asked me to bare with him as he was working late, but today said I had to give him until the end of the week. I don't feel inclined to do that, apart from really wanting the cab! Should I just press for a refund? A few cabs have turned up locally and I could actually go and test them rather than buy unseen. What would you Basschatter's do?
 -
Have you tried either cab on its own? They pop up reasonably cheaply, would it be of them do for your gig?
