I went to buy some cabs and ended up with these:[/quote] Ahh, I see. Actually just had an email from him and it looks like it can be repaired easily. Thanks for the tips. No fear of me coming home with any 'extra' bass - might just about be able to afford the fuel to get there!

  4. My basterd drummer's hihat stand managed to penetrate the grill of my cabinet and punch a small hole in the outside edge of the cone. There is probably some cctv footage of me quietly weeping after discovering this while unloading the car, however, it made no appreciable difference to the sound straight away, but I imagine it will. I've had one suggestion to patch it with epoxy resin and I've contacted EBS who put me in touch with their distributor (in Brighton). I'm wondering whether to repair the hole, recone the speaker or replace it and how much it could be. Also, does anyone know of a suitable place to do this in London (preferably SE)? Oh yeah, the cab is an EBS 300 15".

    Hi All

Thanks. If it's going to fit into hand luggage then it will be the equivalent of a ukelele! Just lower.

    Hi All

Hi, This is just to introduce myself. I'm an Aussie that's been living here since xmas 05. I play in the Capelilos, gigging in various venues in London. I've been playing since I was 14, I'm 35 now (gasp!). I play double bass too, well I did in Oz. My double bass is still there (it wouldn't fit in hand luggage) as is my American Jazz Deluxe. My gear is all at the budget end of the spectrum as I've never managed to glean an income from this caper! I'm playing a Squier Jazz (Korean) which still surprises me with its tone. That's played through a Warwick Profet 3.2 into an EBS Proline 200 15" which I bought of a BassWorlder last year. Oh, and a Zoom 506II, a Behringer BLE100 and a Behringer TU100 tuner. I've been nosing around the forums for a while and thought it polite that I introduce myself!! It's a fantastic resource and good clean fun, too. Adrian
