  1. A private 40th birthday party last night at a club we had not played before. Took a while to get the drum sound right but the gig went well - the manager offered us four dates for next year so I'll take that.
  2. Jon Anderson, from my hometown of Accrington. I can recall as a child seeing his Bedford van with Viking horns on the roof it when he was in The Warriors.
  3. I'm in Exeter and would be up for a get together. I guess that pnefc42 might be from Preston originally?
  4. Hi Ady, I'm looking for a cheap 5 string to back up my G&L gigging bass and the squier looks a possibility. I can't afford much as I have just had to fork out for a new mixer. I can stretch to £150 including postage. Let me know if that does the trick. Pete
  5. Hi, am in Exeter and definitely interested but am away from tomorrow morning until Sunday night. PM me Sunday if it's still available and if you don't need to post it what sort of deal we can do. Thanks, Pete.
  6. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I went back to the amp and before starting to unscrew things I thought I would try it again and lo and behold loads of volume! How bizarre. I'm worried now though that I have an intermittent fault which will raise it's head again. Maybe a good excuse for GAS!
  7. Hi, I have a UK made 7215 which was working fine at a gig on Thursday evening but at Friday's gig had gone extremely quiet and I ran straight through the PA to do the gig. I have tried obvious checks like changing leads, instruments etc but it's not that. I am not technical at all - any thoughts?
  8. This is the Tony Levin 5 string OLP with active electronics and in the natural finish. I bought it about three years ago when I needed the five strings for a couple of songs my band were doing. It was only gigged maybe half a dozen times and then only for two or three songs and then back to my main bass. Since then it has only been infrequently played at home so it wouldbe better off with someone who will use it regularly and I'll stick to four strings. Its in very nice condition with barely a mark on it. You probably know all about the bass from the reviews and threads but for the money it is a really good instrument. I have a copy of the review in Bass Guitar Mag which gave it 90 out of 100 - not bad for a supposedly budget instrument. I want 225GBP for it and that will include a Ritter gig bag so why not give it a go. I'm in Exeter.[attachment=84444:BASS_003.jpg]
