1. i might load the wavs onto here actually as it might give a better impression than the myspace mp3's
2.
Material is great. V catchy. Recording/mixing quality is disappointing (how appropriate given song title). Happy to pm you with specific comments if you are doing production yourself. If you paid for this, go kick the engineer.
feel free to pm me your thoughts, its not my production or mixing, though i have done quite a bit in the past, but i think disappointing is quite strong i have to say! we didnt pay much and it was very much a home studio setup, but i think he managed to record without too much distortion and everything has the clarity it needs, pm me though, interested to hear your thoughts
3.
Intelligently constructed, musically interesting and well played. It works as a whole and there is a real band sound in there. Nicely worked backing vocals, great variety of bass tone. Personally I'd like to have heard a bit more transparency in the drum sound, it sounds a bit cut off above 10k and a little peaky in the treble and upper mid below that. A few tiny timing errors too but I'm the last one that should be pointing that out. Minor criticisms. I could see this collection sitting nicely on my iPod guys.
thanks, all criticism is useful, and i agree somewhat with the drum sound. timing error wise, its so difficult to do! we had paid for a week, and although all the tracks are to a click i think we will always suffer the same problem, but were an indie band, and i think a little messiness isn't the worst thing we can do!! glad you like the bv's, had some fun in the studio constructing those
4.
Tasteful, straight forward, warm fuzzy bass, doesn't get in the way of the vocals and keeps the tunes moving along. Jobs a good'n.
thanks mate, much appreciated
5. had one of these bad boys a couple of years ago, really enjoyed it, reckon you can pm me your cash price? stu

11. bump- now considering splitting as i seem to have more interest, i have some interest in the body, but looking to sell the neck with tuners for £50 (bargain)
12. cool, thanks, gives me something to think about
13. hmmm, okay i guess that makes it more clear, so pretty much the same hardware, different factories on different continents.. are the g&l tributes still pretty playable basses then? i guess i should try one... but where!
14. okay... so never really played these basses that much but they are starting to cause me to think... Is this like fender v squier, or musicman v olp, or are the tribute models as good as the standard?? any help will be gladly received ta
15. alternatively, pm me for an email address if you would rather do it that way
16. have to say i didnt get on with my olp... eq was difficult and even the playability wasn't great for me, it came quite badly set up and there were a few dead spots on the neck, mine was the single pick-up version, and i think probably one of the bad qc jobs mentioned above
17.
i hope they all didnt go to one very greedy person...
thats my suspicion too
18.
If you want cash offers, the best thing to do is give us an idea of how much you want for it!
okay, well im after at least what it cost in parts so between £250- £300
