Same waiting since 1st December for some Fralins from Bass
Direct that were ‘in stock’. I really should know better by now 🤦♂️
My wife ordered them for me for Christmas from Musique as they were the only place showing in stock. Communication has been poor.

So it’s not just me then lol. Something oddly comforting about that.

I’ve been waiting on delivery of an EMG Geezer PHZ since the middle of December! I’ve looked at every website I can think of (UK) and they are out of stock everywhere. What’s the deal?

Great - I liked that! Good sound too. Anyone who likes a bit of punk... it's worth checking out.
Was the singer drinking a bottle of wine from the bottle 🙂 ?
Whiskey lol! Thanks.

First impressions are that it sounds excellent, ive never had the ultra... Ive only got the B7k and B3k to compare it to so dont know if its supposed to be slightly different sounding 🤷♂️ i know the mid EQ points aren't matched with the ultra and B7k anyways.
This pedal definitely has a similar sound but is a bit different ... More smoother ssounding distortion (less high focus) Its not exactly like my B7k but overal decent for the price.
I think i prefer my B7k, but if it broke this would make the grade as a replacement 👍
Nice! Next time I’ve got some spare cash I might just take a punt on it.

IMHO, you need 2 core sounds: one dirty and one clean. Add more dirt or modulation with preset pedals. That's it.
-
Excellent, look forward to your in-depth review lol

I stumbled on this recently. Seems to be a direct clone of the Darkglass at around half the price. Anyone tried one or had real world experience?

What did you do to fix the crack ? A good wood glue/filler, properly applied, should be stronger than the wood itself.
I filled it with good wood glue and clamped it. But the clamp was crap and slipped without me realising and the gap didn’t tighten up properly but set about a mm apart in places. Solid as a rock but not right, which probably was the reason I had to set the E saddle so far back for intonation. Adds to the mojo lol.

It lay ignored and unloved for years and it was a mess. So I took everything apart not knowing if it would even be playable when I put it back together because there was a big crack through the headstock. So I thought I’d get medieval with it and set it on fire, cleaned all the electrics and fixed the crack as best I could. Plays better now than it ever did! Still a bit neck divey but a good leather strap sorted that.

I used a battered but effective Peavey 410 cab for years. Cheap and ugly. I still don't appreciate people treating it like a garbage bin or spilling beer on it or resting their muddy feet on it. It's me who has to take it back home, it's me who has to clean it, and smell it. The cost of gear is not a factor. Lack of consideration, however...
I take your point. Thankfully I've not had this happen to my gear but if it did I would be royally whizzed.

I’ve only ever played multi band gigs and gear share was always agreed in advance. I think the best way (as I think has already been suggested) is for every band on the bill to bring an item of backline. To me, that means everyone is invested fully in the gig and makes for a more enjoyable event. I don’t have boutique gear though, it’s all second hand, hard working and sturdy as a sturdy thing.

Any of the bass channels I’ve tried were a bit dry (although there are some on here I haven’t seen). I also dabble in the dark side that is guitar and I always enjoy guys like Ryan Bruce and Ola Englund because they are light-hearted as well as providing reviews, tips etc. Are there any of the channels listed in that sort of vein or does anyone know of any?

I’m really not a fan of jazz but this is undeniably cool. Most excellent.

Wee.bit of Billy Bragg. Excellent stuff.

Well, spoke too soon. My new Geezer is delayed again with no delivery date. Disappointed.
