Looks like you're sorted 🤞  Which is good as I've never had to source a new one for mine.  Good Luck..

Well, I got it changed successfully! Unfortunately, the one I bought was flat and my board, it turns out, is slightly radiused. A lot of filing later and it fits like a glove and I’ve got my sustain back :)

My Japanese Squier Precision from 1994(ish) has a 40mm nut - it's a nice size/neck, pretty easy to get around and comfortable.   They come up from time to time, are very well built and are around the price of a new decent Squier.    They are thinner, back to front, than the Sandberg I have, but not as thin as, say a jazz or  many of the Ibanez necks.

Hi, I have the same bass and I need a new nut. I'm having some difficulty finding an exact match and wondered if you had ever had to replace the nut on yours? Also, not sure if the nut is flat bottomed or not (the existing one is still attached but is cracked). The bass is still playable but the sustain on the A string has fallen away badly as this is where the crack is.

  3. I like the Captain East one. I don't seem to have an edit option for it though because it isn't one of the TC templates. All I have in the app is a video icon and the star. Tried the Trapdoor, did not sound as good to my ears - way too aggressive. Anyway, thanks for the advice.

  4. Hi, I have a TC Electronic Spectracomp. I have just recently started to experiment with a fretless bass and I'm struggling to find a decent toneprint that works in that context. Does anybody have any experience with the Spectracomp in this situation? Failing that, does anybody just have any good generic compressor settings that would be good for fretless? I want the sustain to be pretty much infinite (jk, but you get the idea). Thanks.

  5. Here's my post-Christmas board. The Monomyth courtesy of my wife replaces an EHX Battalion that died on me and the Polytone Noir replaces a cheap Kliq tuner that started introducing distortion for some reason. Spectracomp I've had for a long time. Sounds absolutely killer.

  6. Not me but a band I was in. Guitar player was more into rock, we were straight up punk. He was good, could play the songs well and wrote great parts. But his heart wasn’t in it and it was really flipping annoying because he would get on stage, play and run. Don’t think audiences noticed which was cool but, as a band mate, I hated it.  Long story short, play the music you love and put your heart and soul into it. The only possible exception to this is a well paying gig like a function band, but that’s my idea of hell anyway lol.
