Just recently changed to an old school chrome ABM 500 through a Barefaced SuperTwin. Works for me.

This deal is a steal. The amp is worth that alone. Whoever buys it is pretty much getting a free cab. I had one of these amps. They're great. Look lovely too.

This is a good price for a great bit of kit. Would have been very tempted if I hadn't just changed my entire rig a few months ago. Have a bump from me.

I definitely need to get one as I think the batteries started to go during sound check on Friday. Couldn't risk it so I had to use my passive P bass.
Will check out my wiring and let you know if I need one or two!

Rodenberg 808B overdrive and distortion pedal. This has the 808 overdrive and 909 Distortion. This is a really beautiful pedal built in Germany. Just picked up a programmable Sansamp so I need the space on my pedal board. Very reluctant sale. May change my mind if the other pedals I have for sale sell.
Postage - £5

No Minefield really. This is all just my opinion but a 500W solid state head is really max you need, probably lower wattage for Valve heads. As long as your cab is rated to about 1.5 times the power of your amp or more and the impedance is matched you should be flying. I know people crib about the weight of them but I prefer a good bit of weight in a head, hence I tend to prefer ones with AB MOSFET over Class D. I just think they're less prone to problems from vibrations etc.
Oh and if you get one with a valve preamp, these are nice.
My personal favourite is Ashdown hybrid into Barefaced.
I totally agree. Recently switched to a lovely s/h Ashdown ABM 500 chrome rack mounted (SKB case) for £160 and a s/h Barefaced SuperTwin 2x12 cab for £660.
Really happy. Wonderful combination.

I'm guessing it's 'big bottoms' from Spinal Tap then!

Maybe we should all meet up at a jam night and go to the Poppadom then!

I was born on Mason's Hill too. Now live about 1/4 mile away. Bit embarrassing really for the lack of wanderlust.

He's been around for years. Used to play in Racer X with Paul Gilbert. Seems like a really good guy and a decent player. Wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

GLWTS Martin. You won't need it. Great price for a great cab. Buy with confidence.

Think it's around 8-00ish.
The Belles are playing at the Partridge tonight too. Really good band. I depped for them at Xmas. Excellent songs too.

I'm interested too!

I'm playing next Friday (31st) at The Lord Homesdale opposite Tesco if any of you fellow Bromliers fancy it. 7 piece funky, rocky, blues band.

Hi Bamboofrog,
I live in Bromley and quite active in the local music scene.
If you need any help or advice, happy to help.
All the best, Paul

Thanks. I'll check it out.

I have a custom P bass with 2 EMG pick ups and 2 9v batteries. Will this still work ok or will I possibly need 2 kits?
-
Should have known. Also, the right width for the CTM to fit on top of.

Gonna be a Super Twin!

Try David Lane in Gravesend.

Going ampless, is it weird to not have a bass rig behind you?

If my memory serves me right, I believe Kiss did fake, flat packed cabs at Donington '88.
