Looks like the normal Wal mahogany body core to me, but not the best pictures.

Who says the 2nd hand market isn't working on BC then eh?! 😊
A great piece of kit on at a great price from a great seller... knew it wasn't going to be hanging about long.
Someone's bagged themselves a bargain!
Yeah, it's great!

No, but I love fuzzdog's kits. I have built his Musket fuzz and it was brilliant - to me it was much better than the green Russian spec muff kit (also fuzzdog's) I built at the same time so I'd give it some consideration if you're after a decent fuzz.
As an aside I've just today resurrected my Pedalparts Bad Mofo pedal. I broke the rotary switch on it the day I built it - that's what happens when you mount it on the wrong side of the pcb and have to remove it with a hot air gun (which I did, but while putting it back on on the correct side it basically fell apart). Well worth the effort. It's a bitchin' overdrive/distortion/fuzz!

I think I'm going to like this a lot!

EZKeys String Machine (full, not expansion) and a free expansion pack, £23:
Looking at this again I'm not sure it's exactly what I thought. The page says "Buy EZKeys & Get a FREE Expansion (Select your expansion when registering serial)". Now does that mean you get String Machine AND another expansion, or do you get String Machine AS your "expansion" (or can you choose ANY of the expansions)? It's slightly cheaper than getting it direct from Toontrack, but I can't see another expansion being thrown in when there's 80% off RRP already...
EDIT: Chatted with Matt at Plugin Boutique. Offer only applies to String Machine.

This is good news!

Oh man I wish I was closer... Or that couriers could be trusted...
I have the 1x10 version of this and it's the one amp I will NEVER part with.

According to the Barefaced Facebook Group it's a lack of space at the factory. Not enough room to store the 18" drivers. Not sure that sounds right, but there you go...

It's a jazz bass copy being played by a badly dressed bloke with a beard. It doesn't got much less interesting than that.
Predictable to a fault...

Maybe this should go into the pedalboard thread, but as they're all from kits...
Right to left, all Schalltechnik 04 kits
VONG-Filterung
Pumpernickel
GUMA-Antique
GUMA-DriveThe finish went wrong on the Filterung a total of three times, so I ddn't redo it a 4th. It's....um....a distressed finish
I can speak highly enough of these kits, great boards and good components. The SMT stuff is tricky for me as I have pretty bad eyesight, but I managed it and I'm quietly chuffed about that.
I've wanted a pedalboard of kit pedals for a while so I'm chuffed.
Agreed, they're great kits. I've built the Drive, Antique and Pumpernickel, and have the VONG kit SOMEWHERE in the house (misplaced in a recent office move!).

Finally got round to building my Kurt Ballou Brutalist Jr, with an added Fuzzdog clean blend control (hence the slightly uneven pot spacing).
Looks a bit of a rats nest top-down, but all the wiring is nicely layered, with moldable wire. I'll probably leave the top plain, maybe label the knobs with some old-school embossed labels.Sounds very cool!
Did you do any of the suggested mods on the Brutalist? Have a couple of the PCBs knocking around!

This is the sort of stinky poo my ex-bandleader would have thought up. He decided it'd be a great idea to pen a review of his own album launch gig and post it on a local music forum under a pseudonym. Sir Richard Head III...

You'll know more about this than me in terms of the electronics, for sure, but with my Markbass SS which was 12V and 550mA "minimum", I actually found that it was more sensitive to lower voltage than lower current. (So worked better on 12V 250mA but not 9V 500mA).
I don't know if that is a more general thing with pedals, or only relevant to particular types or models?
Entirely circuit dependent so impossible to generalise regarding power supply requirements

When Ashdown released the 500 watt version there were no internal changes - I had that confirmed by Ashdown a lot of years ago.
These are the best amps on the planet IMHO and I'd never be without mine. I'd be having this rig if shipping was a viable option! Somebody get it bought!

Someone on that other site contacted Mooer, and tested, and it WILL operate at 9v... Whether it'll take a center negative supply I don't know.
EDIT: just looked at the manual and it's 12v center negative supply so might work from standard pedal supply with enough juice

Mentioned this in the HPF+LPF thread the other day after running into it on that other site. Looks like a VERY useful option! Apparently the output is a balanced TRS jack too...

Similar spec to my own... Unfortunately I've just found out that Mojave isn't working on mine despite what Apple say

Holy free holy! 70! I thought I was bad with 13...ish...! Must try harder...
1. ACG Custom 4
2. ACG Custom 5
3. Fender USA P
4. Squier CV P
5. Aria Pro 2 MAB20/5
6. Yamaha RBX270F fretless
7. Kala Ubass
8. Harley Benton Uke bass
9. Tanglewood Bass Master Funk
10. Bitsa P (currently in bits...)
11. Antoria 335 shaped semi hollow thing (with frets ripped out...)
12. Tokai Thunderbird (badly in need of a refret)
13. Non name acoustic bass (if I can play a song on this I can play it on anything!)
13 1/2. Bits P 2 (or rather all the bits for another bitsa, in need of painting and assembly...)
Actually, now I come to think about it I forgot I also have an Ibanez ATK700 in bits at the minute too, so 14.5... But that's definitely it. No more...

I discovered last night that my mid-2012 MacBook Pro is supported for the most recent OSX Mojave, but I suspect it might be the last OS update available to me.

Bought Sean's B3N this week. Exactly as described and here in the blink of an eye. Another cracking basschat deal!
