  1. Yes, still available Gasman. Cheers Graham
  2. I see that chip pic didn't make the gig!
  3. PS, the two spare scratch plates shown are to fit the original pickups - if you are able to source one.
  4. Hi Jimi, Only the bridge cover is available, as shown in one of the pics.
  5. Purchased by me in 1972 from Sound City, Shaftesbury Avenue and extensively used throughout the 70's and 80's until GAS took hold! It has been refinished many times since the blue sparkle finish seen in the Fender catalogue. The current finish looks OK but isn't great, with a few marks and a chip near the jack insert. The original pick up was soon added to with a John Birch steel guitar near the bridge, which sounded great. The feint outline of this pickup is still visible. This was replaced by the Bartolini MM pickup at the bridge by Mansons of Exeter. The original Fender pickup was then outed in favour of the Bartolini PB pickup installed by The Bass Gallery - the battery is for this pickup. Currently the bass sounds better than it ever has. Original reverse thread tuners. 34" scale. Truss rod works. Hardly any fret wear. Around 4.3 kilos. Bit of neck dive. Strung BEADG instead of EADGC. Original bridge. 15 frets only. I've loads of photos which I may have to post separately. The case is a fairly cheap TGI one in good condition. A bit difficult (for me anyway) to access the higher frets due to a rather bulky neck pocket and the left over damage from a broken wrist. The buyer may like to restore this to its original specs, but I assure you the pickups now fitted sound infinitely better than the original one. Any questions please ask. The price is firm, and no exchanges thanks. I'm now 80 and certainly don't need any more basses! Meet up somewhere in the south is the preferred course of action
  6. Bump for the Sunday scrollers!
  7. PS. Also comes with original toilet seat pick guard.
  8. I am a very regular user of Basschat and have always left the tab open so that I can quickly access the site. In the last couple of weeks I have been asked to sign in again on every visit. A bit of a hassle only. More irritating is the e mail following the sign in saying "you have just logged in from a device we haven't seen you use before". I have been using the same phone and pad for the last three years! Any clues? Cheers, Graham
  9. Hi Itu, Thanks for the comment, hope you're keeping well. It seems that the phantom paint chipper strikes again!!!
  10. Final sale of my five stringers. Super bass, comfy to play and looks a stunner. 35" scale approx 4kilos 17.5mm spacing at bridge Fitted with straplocks Comes with Modulus case as shown Fingerboard fairly flat. Built in 1995 Notes:- Retro fitted with Bartolini passive soap bar pickup by Guitar Mania of Poole. The original EMG pickup and complete pre amp and wiring loom are also supplied to return the bass to factory specs. There is a 1mm deep chip in the outer neck finishing layer (which I didn't notice until after two years of ownership). See photos, it's at the first fret and is not felt whilst playing. I've had this bass for twelve years and the neck is as stable as you would expect it to be. Collection from Bournemouth or meet up within reasonable distance is preferable. No sound clips, sorry. Let me know if you need any further info. Cheers, Graham
  11. Hi Itu, hope you're well. I'd have this back like a shot if it were a four string and a narrower neck - it's a real player.
  12. Hi, sorry to butt in, but you've quoted my ad above. If you want to try my tuner I'm happy to sell it to you, post paid, and if it is not what you want, just return it it to me and I'll give you a full refund. Let me know. Cheers, Graham
  13. Did I read somewhere on here that there was someone asking for people to donate used strings for school/charity use? Cheers, Graham
  14. Just for info, this is a Bernie Goodfellow (GB Basses) case most likely. I have a GB Spitfire which came in one identical. Good cases.
  15. Have just sold my lovely Reverend Rumblefish to jogi in a super smooth deal despite selling to Germany. Turns out he was buying back his old bass from several years back!! Jogi organised the collection and transport which went faultlessly. Communication was prompt (and in perfect English), couldn't wish for a better deal. Also it turns out he is a guitar tech and salesman in a great music store, Musikhaus Dinter. Thanks again Jogi. Graham
  16. Wonderful basses indeed. I think I sold you my one a few years back! Always regret selling it. GLWTS. Graham
  17. Well, not for me, as mine are still on the post.
  18. Have deleted around fifty images from attachments now. However, on checking the relevant sold advert, the pictures are all still there. Assume this has to be done BEFORE I mark as sold and subsequently locked? ps: I am a bit of a luddite when it comes to computer tech by the way! 😂😂😂
  19. Thanks all for your quick response. Have also found that I was edging closer to my upload limit, so another reason to get deleting. Thanks again. 👍
  20. Yes, I used to agree with this, but I didn't put any identifying evidence that I was the owner, as now recommended. Also it reduces the possibility of cloners not using them. Cheers, Graham
  21. Hi, Glad to say I've sold three basses on here recently but whilst editing to show they have sold I have also tried to delete the photos for obvious reasons, but have not found a way to do this. I tried select and cut and they disappear, but when I press edit/save, they just reappear. Any help for next time please? Cheers Graham
