Good luck mate, sure someone will snap it up. I tried one few weeks ago, awesome P for the cash.

Aah, blast from the past.... Have a bump on me.
-
You are selling this for a Spector wannabee? Must resist....
-
Shame, or at least from my perspective, bridge, capacitor and pups I always change on any Fender. Good luck, I'm sure this beauty will find a new home quickly. The CIJ 62's are great.

Do you still have the Badass and Nordy pup? Would take this over Fender OEM any day of the week. Looks great!

You been hiding? Great singer, not bad on the bass either

Very smooth dealing with gav, totally trustworthy. Cheers!

It is a Fender design humbucker, not anything like the MM size (although it works the same pretty much). You either need to rout to correct dimensions or look for one that you can just pop in. It looks as if it might be EMG35 size. I think the Wizard GEMS 4 string would probably fit it, that is DC35 size if I am not mistaken. if you post the dimensions I am sure quite a few BC member would be able to provide you with advice on what is and is not an option.

Isn't this just another P though? Any good P would do?

Completely normal, not dumb at all. Many well known and respected bass players that cannot or will not play 5 string use basses tuned both in EADG and BEAD (or sorts), especially in rock/metal that is very common.

2 spring to mind:
1. my first bass, an '85 Squier Ketana. It actually was just another MIJ Squier P type thing (Fender was doing dodgy design in 1985) and it played and sounded half decent, but man was that thing fugly. It was the only bass I could afford..... poor me . I wish I still had it though..... for sentimental reasons.
2. a '79 kramer with the aluminium neck, great sound but utterly useless on a warm stage. Absolutely impossible to keep in tune.

Nice bass Tom

Rainer is the real deal, and take a look at his website if you want to see some other lovely basses.

Dan sold me his MXR bass fuzz, really easy to deal with, good comms, just very pleasant. Deal with utmost confidence!

Sometimes doing business via BC is a genuine pleasure, Tom and I traded basses (Spector vs JazzBass 62RI) and it has been a joy all along. Our sons were born 4 minutes apart, which has made this one even more special. Cheers Tom, you have been a real.... well King
Deal with Tom with the utmost confidence, this guy is the real deal. -
Lovely Custom Shop! Have a bump on me for a beauty.....

Ha ha Wookie, I should have realised you would be interested , it actually would be a good match for the Spectors you got off me. I missed the sound, so got this one..... but I cannot get used to the neck anymore. Sad but true.
This one is off to the UK over the weekend.
Enjoy the Spectors and see you again in Fache Tumesnil -

Skyline, or 850 is silly money and to be frank Skyline's are better value for money and are way up there with the US models at a fraction of the cost. Bump on me!
