dont like the 'new classifieds' - everything lumped together..nah!
Shonks replied to Shonks's topic in General Discussion
I still think te classifieds echo Gumtree, and gumtree has a wider audience, so not much point using classifieds here. The market place forum was just that, a forum and so gave BC a club type feel -
could you get it to Leeds for the £450? if so, you got a deal..
£450 plus post, not inclusive, i think its already quite cheap - unless I hang on to the ashtrays and sell em seperately, then you have a deal. BTW, would prefer offers of this type to be discussed privately rather than in the public arena - probably just me..but..
I've got a brand new Blackstar HT5TH, 5th anniversary edition, I've used it a handful of times at home but unfortunately have no use for it as I'm rarely playing guitar. Would you be interested? Jeeks
not up for guitar amplification. Should have mentioned this earlier but didn't realise it until it was offered. apologies.

if you start charging a fee you'll end up with a site mainly of amateurs and hobbyists. Most pro players wont buy into something like this I reckon. For no other reason other than most of 'em are brassik -
And now there's... Gumtree in a BC frock. That said, I appreciate the reasons.
dammit...you're right too.. -
Ah - OK. Cheers, Ped. It does feel like the social element has been removed from the classified side of things, which is a shame. I'm sure I'll get used to it... eventually.
it does, but a lot of it was 'bull': 'wish I had the money'... 'if I hadn't just just bought a Porche I'd 've had this' etc etc -
Hi The new classifieds will bring about better results in the searching of that particular section. In other areas of the site we are looking at improving the search index and refining it some more, so rest assured its something we would like to improve, too. The new classifieds will look so much better when it's finished, too. Give it a while to settle in and we'll see how it's going then Cheers!
okies....it all seems cool, but you know me by now. I like to evoke a discussion, and it looks as though i have. -

ahh...the filters..does that mean you dont like bumping and this is the solution? maybe i do like then. I just wish the search windows all over the site would be more specific, like searching the titles only instead of absolutely everying posted. So much irrelevant info in all search results . -
that looks really nice anything particular your looking for tradeoptionwise ?
not really....doesn't have to be a bass... try me... I'm only selling as I already have 3 jazz basses : a 4, a 5, and a fretless which are my 3 working basses. Not absolutely worried about flogging it as its a great bass to have lying around (although could do with the cash - who couldn't). it really is a pleasure to play and really does have that vintage sound which is why I got it in the 1st place. Great build. I can't really see any difference between this and the USA reissues except the price. I had a USA Jaco artist bass which I sold on here not too long ago. I've toyed with the idea of defrettiing this, it would be as good I reckon. I wouldn't mind a 70's reissue instead of this. That's only because my very first pro bass was a 71 Fender Jazz with block inlays, and that's purely for nostalgic reasons, nothing more.
hadn't thought about it to be honest, does have a hard case, can anyone recomend a good company? Nathan
insured and signed for, it cost me almost £70 to send a bass to Greece. It was interparcel that was the cheapest, but still expensive so take care. -
