Thanks for the heads up, I pulled the trigger on a black FSR Mustang.
I recently experienced Bax Shop's aforementioned terrible customer service, so fingers crossed this time things work out.
How did you get on with your latest Bax purchase?

This looks great! Can you comment on how chunky the neck is? Thanks
I had one. Neck is thin. Jazz style. Very fast

Lovely jubbly! Not a fan of maple fretboards usually, but the light wood really works with the rest of the colours

So the results are in!
@Sibob - do we know if anyone who signed up actually made it through successfully the whole of 2019 without any gear purchases?!
You're kidding aren't you? I've got worse 🤣

If you could go back in time musically and, knowing what you do now would bass be your choice of instrument?
I was thinking that I am probably more naturally a drummer. It's not realistic now but looking back I'm probably better suited to being behind the kit.
I have a calling to the drums too. Think there is a closeness between the bass and drums that attracts us to both. But I do just like drum rhythms. If I could go back I wish I'd learnt the bass much longer - only really went over to it in my 40's, after many years on 6 string guitar. I've also dabbled in E-Drums over the years

Sheryl Crow and bass - amazing
Charlatans - terrible but that Status Bass has decent crunch and was nice - definite highlight.
Michael kiwanuka - always loved him.
Stormzy - what a show and mixed up tracks and actually had live band sounding great.
But I agree, here in TV land the bass has been great and I can’t wait for Kylie - Bassist uses Sandberg’s - so i will be happy and he is good.
Bring on Glastontelly with cheap unlimited booze and habitable toilets in easy reach and a comfy bed
The Charlatans bassist - is that a standard model of Status Bass? Like the look a lot

Not seen any MIJ SS Jags, thought they were all Indonesian Squiers(?) but I could be wrong on this - someone will correct me if so.
I had one of the SS Squiers - nice enough bass but not up to the quality of the MIJ Mustang re-issues. Made a pleasant noise though, but had a lot of neck dive.
I totally agree. The Indonesian Squier Jaguars just have a mehh neck - nowt special

I was going to link you to a Second Hand Fender Jaguar MIJ shortscale that was on GAK but has since sold. Great basses, no matter what scale they are.
Another good one is the Rascal bass by Fender too, a crazy little bass and so fun to play and so many tones to play with. Looks an absolute quality made bass from Mexico too. 😉👌🏻
Now you don't always see these come up, a bit of a rare beast and when they do, you have to act fast but promising you for £500-650 you won't be disappointed with your purchase.
Ooh I didn't know you could get short scale MIJ Jaguars - will look out for these!!
